VILLAINOUS ACTS:Attempted to murder rival Nicole Drake with a drug overdose. Pushed sister-in-law April Cavanaugh Scott down a flight of stairs, causing April to miscarry her unborn baby. Murdered Cathryn Dane, an amorous patient of Miles, then killed Clairmont janitor Charlie Richmond to cover up the crime. In order to keep Miles from divorcing her, Denise concocted a terminal illness, but the joke was on Denise when her father revealed that she really was dying. Denise plotted to commit suicide and frame Miles for murder; however, the plan backfired-- it was April who was arrested, tried, and convicted for the crime. Six months later, in January 1979, Denise's father Gus confessed that he had killed his own daughter to end her suffering. USELESS TRIVIA: Actress Holland Taylor returned briefly to Edge in January 1980 for several cameos in which a drugged Miles hallucinated visions of a demonic Denise.
