Impostor
In October 1980, a man claiming to be Schulyer Whitney arrived in Monticello. As it turned out, he was actually Jefferson Brown, an impostor. Sky had met Jeff Brown in Lucerne, Switzerland, during the summer of 1978. Poor and ambitious, Brown was instantly attracted to Sky Whitney's great wealth, and they became friendly. Sky decided to fly Jeff across the Apls to Zurich in a private plane, but it crashed in the mountains. Jeff thought that Sky had been killed and stole his money belt, which contained a small fortune. Moments later, Brown watched as the wreckage of the plane -along with Sky's body- was carried into a mountain crevasse. Jefferson used the money he stole for plastic surgery, having his face altered to resemble Schulyer Whitney. However, Sky wasn't killed in the accident. He spent two years comatose in a Swiss clinic, then returned to reclaim his identity.

SPOUSE

Raven Alexander
The real Sky met Raven in June 1982, after he arrived in Monticello, ready to reclaim his fortune. He and Raven disliked one another at first. Sky hated Raven because he was certain she had known all along about Jeff Brown's theft of his identity, and felt she should have been charged as an accomplice. Raven, fearing she would lose her late husband's inheritance, professed innocence. After Sky legally reclaimed his identity, Raven made a play for him.
