Tasma Walton (Dash McKinnley)- who left Blue Heelers this year - has landed a part in the US telemovie "Airtight", a futuristic thriller where the characters take on almost comic proportions. The telemovie will be shown in the US next month (Nov.'99), but has yet to be sold to an Australian network.
Tasma plays Virginia "Virg" Kawolski, with Aussie television veteran Andrew McFarlane also starring as the bad guy who's plotting world domination.

Lisa to quit (from New Idea, May 29th 1999)
Multi People's Choice and Gold Logie winner Lisa McCune is set to quit the Seven network's top-rating Blue Heelers TV series. The bombshell has already rocked the network's staff, but Seven executives are desperately trying to keep a lid on the news and are still hoping they will be able to change her mind. But with three new projects already looming, it seems Lisa will definitely quit the show which consistently tops the ratings for Seven. Australia's most popular female actor (last month she picked up another Gold Logie) Lisa has been with the series since it began six years ago. Last year she agreed to sign on for one more year when she was offered a contract which allowed her to take time out for film and stage work. Since then, Lisa has starred in Seven's $8 million adaptation of Bryce Courtenay's best-selling book, The Potato Factory. She will also star in The Production Company's She Loves You, in Melbourne from September 30 until October 2. The Lisa's set to team up with John Waters in a Gordon Frost production of The Sound of Music, playing the Julie Andrews role with John playing Captain von Trapp. Scheduled to premiere around November in Sydney, The Sound of Music will also play in Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and PErth. Lisa has already starred in two hugely successful musicals - A Little Night Music and Into The Woods. When she took a six-week break to film The Potato Factory, the producers of Blue Heelers introduced a new character, Senior Constable Robyn Taylor, played by Belinda McClory. But it would be much more difficult if Lisa were to be missing from the show for a run of six months or longer for The Sound of Music. There is already talk of a star role in a new big budget Aussie TV series. For the show's producers, and Seven, it's a major concern. Heelers has already lost several regular cast members and Lisa has firmly emerged as the star of the show. There's no denying her extraordinary popularity is one of the biggest factors in its phenomenal success and she has won six of the show's 12 Logie awards. The chemistry between actor Martin Sacks and Lisa on screen and the smouldering love affair between their two characters has proved a major drawcard for viewers. Off screen, Lisa has been happily involved with boyfriend Tim Disney for almost three years. "Having a boyfriend who is a TV technician has made me keen to learn more about production," Lisa says. Decideing to finally leave Blue Heelers was always going to be a huge dilemma for Lisa. "I am dreading it," she has confessed.
