"Yes?" Giles' voice was coming from the Rosenberg dining room. Except that it wasn't exactly Giles's voice, but...
"Hi there," Jenny Calendar said to Xander and Buffy as they walked into the room. She was... walking on her hands, *through* the table; her lower torso going through it, her feet trailing beneath the floor. Catching their curious gazes, she quipped "It's all in how you think about the table."
"I think they'd be more comfortable if you sat down," Giles said, reaching through the table himself to catch Jenny's hand. "I assume you have some concern?"
This was not easy for Xander to process. He hadn't been close to Jenny Calendar, but he still remembered how hard it had been for Buffy and Giles had been dealing with her death, And he had come to think of Giles himself as a 'black hat' ever since he had been turned into a vampire. To meet up with Jenny and the old Giles again, here in a godforsaken dimensional limbo... well, 'weird' would be an understatement.
"Yeah," Xander said after a moment. "Back in August, Cordelia started developing, oh, what did Tojo call it? A magical power complex?"
"Really?" Ghost-Giles said, his old love of a mystery showing again.
"Yeah. Might have had something to do with the time Amy and those others kidnapped her last spring. Anyways, she goes psycho-witch whenever she gets mad, and she does whatever she feels like then. When the spirit passes, she doesn't remember any of it." Xander dropped into a chair after finishing that explanation.
"Hmm," Jenny said. "That could be a power assumption blocked and resublimating..."
"Yeah, that's what Tojo said," Buffy confirmed, and her mouth turned down for a second as she mentioned her replacement watcher, now trapped in a stasis bubble by one of the Horrors of Limbo. "But he couldn't figure out how to release it."
"And it's becoming difficult because the two of you are sneaking around behind her back," Jenny added. Xander's jaw dropped, and the pagan laughed. "Give me credit for a little perception."
"I'll research the matter," Giles told them.
"Thanks."
