Newcomer Laura Allen joined the cast of "All My Children" in October 2000 as Laura English, the daughter of Brooke English (Julia Barr). Since arriving in Pine Valley, Laura has had to hurtle many obstacles. She was thrown off a boat and nearly drowned and most recently nearly died before receiving a heart transplant. Though all the tragedy, Laura has remained strong and event found love in Leo DuPres (Josh Duhamel). Will Leo be able to keep her new heart from breaking?
Born in Oregon and raised in Washington, Laura is a graduate of Wellesley College. Her first professional acting role was as Maid Marion in a touring production of "Robin Hood." Laura is also a distant relative of actress and Princess Grace Kelly.
In her spare time, Laura is often involved in late night theatre, comedy projects and variety shows in downtown Manhattan.
