Rebecca  Budig (Greenlee  Smythe)
Rebecca Budig joined the cast of "All My Children" in August of 1999, creating the role of Greenlee Smythe. Since her arrival in town, Greenlee has been busy living by her own set of rules and making plenty of trouble in the process.
Rebecca graduated from the Cincinnati School of the Performing Arts and went on to major in zoology at Ohio's Miami University. She moved to Los Angeles in 1993 to pursue her acting career. While in Los Angeles, she began studying with acting coaches Howard Fine and Jay Goldenberg at the Howard Fine Acting Studio and at the Young Actors Space, respectively.
Daytime audiences are familiar with Rebecca from her role as the virtuous Michelle Bauer on "Guiding Light" from 1995-98. Rebecca's other television credits include co-hosting "Sports Illustrated for Kids," a featured role on the Discovery Channel's "Bonehead Detectives of the Paleo World," and the television movie, "A Moment of Truth: Murder or Memory."
Her film credits include a brief but memorable role in "Batman Forever," in which she shares a kiss with one of the film's stars, Chris O'Donnell; "God's Lonely Man," "James Dean: A Race with Destiny" and "Starhunter." Music fans may remember Rebecca from her first acting job in Aerosmith's "Living on the Edge" video.
Rebecca was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to businessman George and homemaker Mary Jo. She and her five sisters and two brothers were raised in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, a suburb of Cincinnati. When Rebecca is not busy making trouble in Pine Valley as Greenlee, she likes to spend her time working out, boxing, running, scuba diving, indoor climbing, knitting and reading.
