Finola Huges (Alexandra Devane Marick)
Emmy Award-winning actress Finola Hughes made her return to daytime in July of 1999, portraying Alexandra Devane on All My Children. Compounded with the shocking news that she was Dimitri Marick's widow, the mystery swirled around Alexandra Devane's sudden appearance in town.
Ms. Hughes is most widely recognized for her portrayal of the mysterious and beautiful Anna Devane on the ABC daytime drama, General Hospital, from 1985-92. Her performance garnered her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in 1991.
Born and educated in London, England, Ms. Hughes studied ballet beginning at the age of 10. In 1980, she originated the role of Victoria, The White Cat, in the premiere company of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, Cats. An accomplished and versatile actress, she made her American film debut when Sylvester Stallone cast her opposite John Travolta in Stayin' Alive. Her television credits include Jack's Place, Blossom and Pacific Palisades. Ms. Hughes maintains homes in both London and Los Angeles and is married to photographer Russell Young. She will relocate to Manhattan, where All My Children is taped. Finola has her own website.
