Robert  Kelker-Kelly (Stavros  Cssadine)
Daytime veteran Robert Kelker-Kelly literally brought the character of Stavros Cassadine back to life in June, 2001. The character was presumed to have died at the hands of Luke Spencer nearly two decades ago, and Kelly is delighted to be playing such a fun character, one of the biggest villains on the daytime screen.
Kelly was born in Cleveland, Ohio and shared the family spotlight with 3 sisters, but he is the one who had the inclination to be an actor. At the age of seven, he found himself playing Tom Sawyer in a school play and his passion for acting was ignited.
Kelly started acting in school plays and community theatre after his family moved to Wichita, Kansas. When he was 14 or 15 years old, Kelly landed a scholarship as a teacher's assistant in a summer theatre. At 17, he played Romeo in a local, outdoor park production of Romeo and Juliet. He continued to perform in local theatre and left town at the age of 19 to pursue theatre. He did the Shakespeare circuit in Miami, Little Rock, and Minneapolis, to name a few towns.
He made the big move to Los Angeles in 1986 when he was only 22 years old to pursue a career in television. Within one year, he booked a role on Another World and played various roles on that show from 1987-1990 and from 1996-1998. He also portrayed the popular Bo Brady on Days of our Lives from 1992-1995.
Kelly's television credits include guest-starring roles on such series as Touched by an Angel, Maybe This Time, Hart to Hart, and Miami Vice, to name a few. His film credits include the independent feature films Dream for an Insomniac and The Final Equinox Party.
Kelly's proudest moment did not come in his career, but in his personal life when he married his wife, Miriam Parrish four years ago. Kelly moved out of Los Angeles and out of the acting business with his wife in 1997 and pursued a certification in airframe and powerplant mechanics. The much-needed change-of-pace has given Kelly a new perspective in life, and he brings a refreshing attitude to life and work. In his spare time, he enjoys flying, pursuing his pilots license, tinkering with aircraft, and most importantly, spending quality time with his wife.
