Kathy Najimi who played Dr. Barbara "Bix" Konstadt in Chicago Hope, is very well known for her appearance in Sister Act (1 and 2) with Whoopie Goldberg as Sister Mary Patrick. She won an American Comedy Award for "Funniest Supporting Female in a Motion Picture" and a nomination by the Hollywood Woman's Press Club for "Female Discovery of the Year".
Her singing talent didn't stay undiscovered: She appeared in two musical videos: In Lady Soul's "If my Sister is in Trouble" and in Rebecca Lyn Howard's "When my Dreams come true".
In the animated tv-series King of the Hill she is voice of Peggy Hill and in Cats don't dance she lends Tillie Hippo her voice.
Kathy Najimi also directed the Off-Broadway critically acclaimed hits: Back to Bacharach and David and Don't get me started and the Award winning I can put my Fist in my Mouth.
In her own tv-show: The Kathy and Mo Show: The dark Side (HBO) she served also as Executive Producer.
Her movie credits include Fisher King Soapdish and This my life and recently she appeared opposite Sandra Bullock in Hope Floats and in her movie Zack and Reba she plays with Debbie Reynolds.
She had (very funny) cameo appearances in Jeffrey and It's Pat.
