Anne Scripps Morrell Douglas


Known for her critically acclaimed work in film, television and stage, Roxanne Hart made her film debut opposite Paul Newman in director Sidney Lumet's "The Verdict." She went on to star in Paul Bogart's "Oh God, You Devil" and Lasse Halstrom's "Once Around," as well as in "Highlander" and "Old Enough."

For television, Hart starred for two seasons as Camille Shutt on "Chicago Hope," and had recurring roles on "Dream On" and "Against the Law," as well as guest-starring roles on numerous series, including "Law and Order" and "Island Son." Her made-for-television movies include the USA Network Pictures Original "Tagget," the Emmy Award-winning "Special Bulletin," "Alone" opposite Hume Cronyn, "The Last Ferry Home" with Christopher Reeve, "Living a Lie" with Jill Eikenberry and Peter Coyote, "The Last Innocent Man" with Ed Harris, "Vengeance" with Brad Davis, "Samaritan" with Martin Sheen, "Kent State" and, most recently, "Mother's Day"opposite Gregory Harrison.

Her considerable stage work has earned Hart the praise of both fans and critics. She received a Tony Award nomination for her portrayal of Kate in "Passion," and also starred in Broadway productions of "The Devil's Disciple," "Loose Ends," "Cheaters" and "Equus." Her Off-Broadway and regional theater work includes roles in "Lips Together, Teeth Apart," "Hedda Gabler," "Vanities" and "Digby," for which she received a Drama Logue Award.
