JEDI ROCKS!
Sy Snoodle's backing singers [From Left to right] Rystall , Greeta and Lyn Me
SY SNOODLES & MAX REBO BAND George Lucas had always planned a large musical number to appear during the first part of Return Of The Jedi. He was always unhappy with the original performance of Sy Snoodles and the Max Rebo Band, he felt that Sy's limited movements (due to puppetering) were not satisfactory and the musical number not lively enough. ILM have solved that problem and have come up with JEDI ROCKS!, a bouncy blues alien song, sung again by Sy Snoodles. New live-action shots have repopulated Jabba's sanctum with a number of new aliens partaking. The puppet Sy Snoodles has been completely replaced with a CG version which performs many dance movements and performs alongside backing singers Rystall (which we see Boba Fett flirt with!!) , Greeta (a Rodian like Greedo in ANH) and Lyn Me (who looks like Oola)[See Left], there are also other new additions to the musicians in Max Rebo's jizz-wailing band! The entire act is very amusing and especially popular with young Star Wars fans. The unfortunate feeding of the dancer Oola to the rancor has been re-done, we get a better view of what unfortunate end the dancer meets. The new footage was filmed in 1996, Lucasfilm found the same woman who played Oola as she was the sister of someone who worked for the company and was still in good shape and so naturally was able to repeat her dance movements for the special edition.

The Sarlac has now developed a CG beak and looks more repulsive
SARLAC The almighty Sarlac has been CG tweaked![See Left] , it now has developed much more tentacles and a distinctive beak which makes it look more vile and repulsive.

More spectacular celebrations on Coruscant
FINAL SCENE [See Left] Probably the most important addition of the entire Special Edition trilogy. The Film's final scene, in which the Rebels celebrate their defeat of the Emperor and his evil Empire on Endor , has been digitally expanded to look more spectacular and includes galas at three new locations, with fireworks exploding over Cloud City on Bespin as a cloud car zooms by, a T-16 Skyhopper weaving around buildings as confetti falls over Mos Eisley and a simular scene over coruscant (This looks REALLY amazing and previews what is yet to come from the prequels) as citizens revel under its moons. Coruscant is the setting for the prequel trilogy and Producer Rick Mccallum has stated that there is a connection between the images we see on coruscant in ROTJ SE and at the beginning of the prequel Episode One. In addition, the Ewok song, regarded by many as "Awful" has been replaced with a new song which is a great improvement,The John Williams Composition does a great job in bringing across the emotion of happiness felt by the rebels due to their victory.
