 | Yui was in a very fragile state after her rape and attempted suicide, and Nakago took advantage of her. He told her that Miaka wasn't coming for her, and she was all alone. She stayed true to Miaka and waited, still believing she'd come. When Miaka did come, Yui overheard a conversation Miaka had with Tama, where Miaka said she came back to see Tamahome. Yui, who had a crush on Tama, was shocked and started to think that maybe Nakago was right. She began to believe Miaka betrayed her, because Nakago, a man who helped her during her most emotional times, said she did. She believed Miaka didn't save her because she didn't want to, and that Miaka was taking Tamahome, the man Yui "loved". Yui felt hurt and betrayed. |
| Yui became Miaka's enemy, of her own free will, and I completely understand this. She was hurt, and she wanted Miaka to hurt as well. :) But she didn't want anyone to get hurt, except Miaka. (Unlike me, I want everyone to suffer >:) A point someone on the FYML (gomen...I can't remember who it was..) brought up was Yui was horrified at the sight of the bones Ashitare had (I think..) She didn't want people to die, it wasn't exactly her fault when they did.. Nakago was more in control of Yui than Yui was... |  |
 | Yui was not as strong willed as Miaka, all she did after Tamahome left was sulk, and be a bitch to Suboshi, but she did believe she was raped and betrayed, and she was hurt. Miaka, after thinking she was raped, sulked around too. Yui was consumed by Seiryuu, which proves Miaka was more strong willed.. but that is a different point.. |
| Yui needed someone to love. The guy she loves is in love with her best friend, her best friend betrayed her. Suboshi loved her, but she was still getting over Tamahome, so she didn't accept his love. I think she was afraid of love, or maybe afriad of not being loved.. anyways.. When Nakago tells her he loves her, she wants to believe it. When Tamahome says that if Miaka can't stay in his world, he'd go to Miaka's world, Yui sees the extent of true love. She asks Nakago what his wish would be, because Tama's would be to be with Miaka, and he doesn't tell her at first. Later she finds out his wish is to be a God. It has nothing to do with her. (I'd kick him...:) |  |
 | When Miaka tells Yui that she wasn't raped and Nakago was just using her, Yui didn't want to believe her. Because then she would have hated Miaka for nothing, and all the pain everybody went through was for nothing. And it would be all her fault. When she does realize Miaka was telling the truth, she is shocked, and to make up for everything she did, she wished for Suzaku to be unsealed, and allowed herself to be consumed. Yui is cool. :) |
| So Yui was pretty messed up, so I don't blame her for anything she did. It really was all Nakago's fault, not Yui's. He was just screwing with her head. :) |  |
