TNT roughcut.com's DAVID POLAND: Welcome to tonight's chat with the stars of Jawbreaker. Rebecca Gayheart and Rose McGowan are on their way.... Rose is getting back form the chiropractor and Rebecca is being rousted form her hotel room. The movie is Jawbreaker and the stars play teenaged girls with some serious, serious attitude.
Drake1122 asks: Rose and REBECCA: When was Jawbreaker made and was it a fun shoot??
REBECCA: It was made in Feb/Mar 1998.
ROSE: I think it was March/April.
REBECCA: It doesn't matter. It was a really fun shoot. A great cast. A fun, great, lovely cast (laughs). The only bad thing about Jawbreaker was the high heels we had to wear all month.
ROSE: I was hoping it would be fair. That the men on the crew would have to wear high heels for 16 hours, six days a week and suck up their stomachs. You know, typical actress stuff.
Drake1122 asks: Rose and REBECCA: Year 2000 plans?
ROSE: I plan to dies from the Y2K virus.
REBECCA: That's too far in the future to know.
ROSE: I don't know what I'm doing tomorrow. I hope to be drinking a 40 ouncer in front of the 7-11 parking lot while listening to Black Sabbath that night.
Amber4u1963 asks: Why did you think Jawbreaker would be good movie to do?
REBECCA: Because it was a good script. And because it's smart, clever movie for teens who have been undermined by teen movies of the past.
ROSE: and sassy and a.... a.... bit of deviance. A bit of deviance will always do the world good.
Amber4u1963 asks: How was it for them working together?
ROSE: We made out as much as possible.
REBECCA: It sucked. We hate each other. And for the sake of this interview we will lie and say that we are lesbian lovers. (laughs all around)
miabella4 asks: congratulations on your wedding , Rebecca.. And rose, I admire how you're all woman
REBECCA: What wedding? Sorry to disappoint you , but I'm not married yet.
ROSE: I guess it feels better than being all man...
evan_sls asks: Rose and Rebecca, do you find starring in this film has hurt the industry who first invented the over-sized jawbreaker? Since it does say right on the wrapper, "lick don't chew." Lets just hope no one else follows the idea.
REBECCA: I hope you liked the movie, because obviously you've seen it.
ROSE: Kids, don't try this at home. But she got into trouble because she sucked, not chewed.
The_Reverand_Manson asks: did rose mc gowan get cold after Mtv Award???
ROSE: It was a very hot day and I had a 103 degree fever from a sinus infection, so I was very warm and appreciated the air conditioning.
chris182 asks: Rebecca, will you marry me?
ROSE: NO! (from Rose) I am her chastity belt.
Batman9x asks: ROSE: you are my goddess, will you marry me?
REBECCA: No! because I am her chastity belt.
davidgabel56 asks: is Jawbreaker considered a comedy?
ROSE: Yes, a black comedy. We're all in black face. Just like Ted Danson at the Whoopi Goldberg roast.
Drake1122 asks: Rose and REBECCA: What are your next projects??
ROSE: We're learning how to knit together.
REBECCA: I am officially unemployed since I finished The Last Night of Ballyhoo (a play in L.A.). So I have no idea what my next project is.... let's hope it's a good one.
ROSE: Currently, I am employed as a professional groupie and am planning on climbing that career ladder.
davidgabel56 asks: Rose how do you feel about all the fan sites about you on the internet?
ROSE: I love anyone who loves me.
HollywoodBw asks: ok Rebecca do you really like modeling?(your really beautiful by the way)
REBECCA: I am no longer a model. When I was modeling, it was fine, but I don't really miss it.
Rose_McGowan_ asks: This is for Rose and REBECCA: What advice do you have for an aspiring actress?
ROSE: That's why I couldn't get my name on here....
REBECCA: My advice for an aspiring actress is to get into class and stay in class. And if you really love it and never give up, then you should be fine.
ROSE: My answer to that is, to go to Hollywood and stand in front of a gym until you get discovered, because that's what happened to me.
synthminister asks: Rose, you said in one interview you want to dissolve your stigma as being a valley girl (rough paraphrase)...is Jawbreaker a step in that direction?
ROSE: Courtney Shane, my character in Jawbreaker, would kill you if you called her a Valley girl. She is NO ONE'S Valley Girl!
Viddy_Well asks: Do you both smell like strawberries? I would imagine you would...
ROSE: You have a big life.
REBECCA: And a big nose. Unfortunately we smell like cherries... sorry Bob!
U_S_E_R_F_R_I_E_N_D_L_Y asks: how does it feel to be role models for so many girls?
ROSE: I enjoy playing strong characters that in their own odd way would inspire a girl to be kick ass and not a wuss.
REBECCA: I didn't know I was a role model. I just try to be myself....
VernelDelaware asks: Do you find Hollywood superficial and depressing?
ROSE: I find it very deep, emotionally uplifting and spiritually inspirational.
REBECCA: What do mean, superficial and depressing? We are all one big family in L.A. We are supportive and kind and we all look out for each other. HA HA!
TRENTZIM asks: ROSE HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT COURTNEY LOVE?
ROSE: Courtney is a very strong, crazy woman and I admire anybody who has made it that far with such a crazy background and I can relate.
Batman9x asks: Hi Rose --- I think you are sooooo hot. Tell me if you're dating anyone, and what you look for in a guy?
ROSE: Tall skinny guys with red hair.
bondgrluha asks: is rebecca gayhard really in this room?
REBECCA: Yes. And would you like me to prove it? I'm wearing only my Converse high tops and nothing else.
davidgabel56 asks: Rebecca, what is your role in Jawbreaker?
REBECCA: I play Julie Freedman in Jawbreaker. In the beginning of the movie, I am a popular.... bitchy... psuedo-bitchy follower who gets kicked out of the group and must find her own identity, which may or may not be as a hero.
evan_sls asks: Rose, what did you think of Manson wearing the fake mustache and eyebrows while shooting Jawbreaker? Did you ever tease him about it or is that something you don't do with Manson?
ROSE: I thought he looked gorgeous in a sleazy, dirty sort of way. And of course, our relationship is heavy on the teasing on both sides. We are both very funny people with a sick and twisted sense of humor.
VernelDelaware asks: Rebecca- Luke Perry- good kisser or no?
REBECCA: Luke Perry is a yummy kisser.
Rose_McGowan_ asks: Rose and Rebecca, who are your biggest inspirations? and why?
ROSE: For me, filmwise, my inspirations are old actresses like Claudette Colbert and Barbara Stanwyck and current actresses like Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange.
REBECCA: Some of my favorite actresses would be Elizabeth Taylor. I love her old films, like A Place in the Sun. And contemporary.... Jessica Lange.
ROSE: Rose McGowan...
REBECCA: Helen Mirren. Michelle Pfieffer. And Rose McGowan. And Rebecca Gayheart is really great and you should go sdee her new movie Jawbreaker coming out Feb 19 in a theater near you.
Drake1122 asks: REBECCA: Was there a lot of teen girls screaming to Josh Jackson on the Urban Legend set??
REBECCA: Yes... there were lots of teen girls screaming at Josh. And what they screamed was "Stop f***ing your teacher, man!"
evan_sls asks: Rose, when watching the movie clips off the official jawbreaker website (jawbreaker.com) I noticed you REALLY do play such an evil character... Do you ever find yourself a little in each new role you play or is all JUST acting?
ROSE: Even I, while watching this movie, was taken aback at how devious Courtney could be. And everybody has a little evil in them. I just get to work it out in the movies and not in real life. (The website is www.jawbreaker.com)
Ftalan asks: Rebecca do you have any native american in you? if so what tribe?
REBECCA: Yes, Cherokee.
jewel_babe99 asks: do you get insulted for being with Brian Warner?
ROSE: Do you get insulted for being called Jewel? I would be insulted.
Ftalan asks: Rebecca I read an article I didn't know you were a Kentucky girl.
REBECCA: Yes I am a Kentucky girl. And Jawbreaker comes out on Feb 19 on 800 screens across America.
McGowanGirl asks: Hi Rose! Out of all the movies you have done, which movie did you enjoy acting in the most?
ROSE: Probably for emotionally satisfying reasons, a movie called Southie, where I played a badly dressed alcoholic. And then Jawbreaker, of course, for the comedy.
CaptainHowdy553 asks: what kind of soundtrack is on the movie?
REBECCA: Jawbreaker's soundtrack is on London Records. Rolling Stone gave it a rad review.
VernelDelaware asks: I am from Kentucky, well actually Delaware, but what state is Rose from??
ROSE: I am from a country called Italy. But I'm not Italian. And I've lived in 10 different states. So I can't narrow it down for you.
jcool49 asks: Were you like your characters when you were in high school (not including the murder of your best friend)?
ROSE: No, I was the school outcast actually by choice.
REBECCA: I definitely was not part of the popular click. Not that I cared very much. But like my character in Jawbreaker, I did spend my high school years searching for my own identity.
ROSE: I searched an found a fake identity so I could get into night clubs.
twitch_57 asks: rose, did you feel you had to be nude to be noticed? i don't.
ROSE: I grew up in a hippie commune where everyone was naked all the time so I'm fairly comfortable with it. However, I think people in the rock world should be more flamboyant and I thought I should show them the way.
davidgabel56 asks: Rose and Rebecca, will you be going on any TV shows to promote Jawbreaker?
ROSE: I will be on Howard Stern, Jay Leno, and the Daily Show and if I'm lucky, Regis and Kathie Lee.
REBECCA: Yes, I will be doing press for Jawbreaker. E!, E.T., MTV ( A half hour special) and Access Hollywood.
Ftalan asks: what new movie do you recommend for me to take my girlfriend too?
REBECCA: I think that Jawbreaker is the perfect date movie. It's fun, it's sexy, it's clever.
ROSE: And she'll get good make-up tips. One should always look their best.
REBECCA: She'll be so entranced with the movie that you can cop a feel.
ROSE: Good luck feeling her up! On Feb 19th at a local theater.
