Summary

Wesley, Cordelia and Gunn are at Cordelia's apartment and Cordelia has a sudden vision of a demon with two heads that breathes fire and the two guys head to the location Cordelia gave them. Meanwhile Angel is walking the streets at night and runs intoa girl carrying a large box, knocking everything over. He helps her pick it up and learns that she's from the local teen help centre. Angel returns home and he's has the girl's wallet and his room is covered with pictures of her, one in particular of her with Lindsey of Wolfram & Hart. Later on Angel visits Merle, his informant, looking for info. Merle tells him that the girl is clean and that Wolfram & Hart are helping her teen centre out financially. Angel goes to the teen centre with clothes that they can use to help out teens and we learn that the girl's name is Anne. She really appreciates his help and gives him a tour of the centre. She tells him that Wolfram & Hart is the centre's guardian angel and the law firm is sponsoring a charity ball as a fundraiser for them. Later on Merle has violent visit from a large blue demon called Boone. Boone wants to know what Angel's been up to as he and Angel has a history. Merle tells him that Angel's been gunning for the law firm Wolfram & Hart.

Lilah gets in her car after work to find Angel waiting for her in the backseat. He laughs at her because she screwed with him and now he's getting the chance to screw with her. The next day Lilah recounts her experience to Lindsey. They're interrupted by Boone. He says that he and Angel had a 3 hour long fight years ago over some girl and he's back to settle the score. Lindsey doesn't care if Boone kills Angel though Lilah doesn't want it to happen because the Senior Partners want Angel alive. Back at Cordelia's, Wesley and Gunn are retelling their adventure fighting the demon and they're excited about starting up their own agency. Meanwhile Lilah goes to visit Merle after finding out where Boone got his info. She wants to know what he's been telling Angel. Over at the centre after it's closed, Anne is surprised by Angel who tells her that he's been stalking her. He tells her that Wolfram & Hart are trying to cheat her of the mone from the charity ball. Suddenly Lindsey shows up with Boone as his reinforcement. They immediately start fighting brutally. Angel leaves after getting banged around a lot. Lindsey tells Anne that Angel's a vampire and he'll only try to hurt her. Anne blurts out that Angel has proof that Wolfram & Hart are planning to steal money from the centre. Later on Lindsey confronts Lilah, thinking that she opened her mouth about taking the money from the ball and they figure that Angel's proof is having them on tape talking about it.

Later on Angel visits Anne again and he's surprised that she's not afraid of him now that she knows he's a vampire. She explains that at one time in her life she used to be part of a vampire cult but she's grown out of it, especially after she met her first vampire and since then she's seen worse things that don't even compare. She tells Angel that even if she only gets a small percentage of the money from the event it's still a large sum, more than the shelter makes in one year. He asks her to get him into the ball but she refuses to help him out.

The next night at the ball there are people everywhere and it appears to be a success as the money is just rolling in. Angel is up on the balcony when Boone appears behind him. In the middle of a speech they start fighting, attracting everyone's attention. They come a halt in front of Lindsey who wants to know where the tape is, but Angel doesn't have it. Anne, by the tape player, pulls out a tape and Lindsey and Lilah make a dash for her. But there's nothing on the tape but Wesley dancing and Lilah and Lindsey just made idiots out of themselves especially when they realize that Boone was in league with Angel and he ran off with all the money. Anne is not happy with Angel because he couldn't actually expose Wolfram & Hart and only wanted to shake them up. Later on Lindsey and Lilah are repimanded for their terrible actions but they're not allowed to kill Angel because he's a major player in the apocalypse and they want him on their side.

Angel is in his office when in walks Boone, carrying the bag of money. They're going to settle their score, once and for all. With 2.5 million dollars as the reward.

A beaten, bruised and battered Angel brings the bag of money to Anne and it's covered in blood. But she doesn't care about the blood, her only concern is for the money for her shelter.

Nika's Comments

I loved this episode. Whole-heartedly. Boone was awesome. I absolutely adored his character. And I wish we'd see more of him but now that he's dead (at least I assume he is because Angel got the bag of money) I guess that's really not going to happen. Seriously though, his whole attitude was great. I love how even though he was fighting against Angel he still had his honour and it wasn't anything personal against Angel and he was willing to help him out. That I absolutely love, willing to give someone a hand and then turn around the next second and be able to fight them. It's an incredibly quality in a person and I highly admired Boone. Also that he even though they were fighting he wanted to win fairly. Boone was an awesome character and even though I just said I'd like to see more of him I kind of realize that if we did see more of him he wouldn't be as special. So with that being said I say "yay to his death". I also liked having Anne come back. If you guys aren't familiar with the Buffy episode Lie To Me and Anne then it won't make much sense to you. But I was so happy to have Anne come back that I couldn't stop smiling. It's nice to know that Buffy's life has had an effect on other people and that Anne was able to turn her life around after having been saved by Buffy. It's really encouraging and I was glad to see her back! I really do hope we see more of her in upcoming Angel episodes. The sad thing about her was that even though I recognized her name in the credits I couldn't pick out where I knew her from before! She looked so different! Anyway, I was very pleased with this episode since it had several aspects that I enjoyed and not just one.
