Angel's back at the karaoke bar talking to the owner. The owner tells him that Angel's come to a bend in his life and that he can't help Angel out anymore because he has to make his own decisions about his life. Angel then spots Darla at the bar and he asks her to dance. They dance slowly and Angel says that he can't believe she's here. Darla makes sure that he hasn't told anyone about their dates. They kiss slowly when suddenly Angel wakes up and realizes it was all a dream.
Gunn appears at the new office where Wesley and Cordelia are busy cleaning it up. Gunn has a appointment with Angel but Angel's still asleep since it's the middle of the afternoon. David Nabitt, the millionaire, shows up. Angel appears and asks David for some financial advice about the hotel. After a little spiel David leaves freeing Angel up for Gunn. They're heading out to find a demon named Deevack and despite Gunn's protests, Cordelia and Wesley are coming along as well. They get out to the underground parking lot where Gunn's informant is supposed to meet them. The informant says he can't tell them where Deevack is because he'll get killed. Gunn hits the informant, trying to get info out of him. Suddenly some vampires, from Deevack's crew, jump out and attack them. They dispatch of them and when they're done they're all extremely exhausted, especially Angel who should have been fine considering he's a vampire. They head home and Cordelia, driving Angel's car, drops Angel off at the hotel. Angel says he's going to bed because he's exhausted.
Cordelia is at her apartment when suddenly she has a blinding vision of Gunn being attacked. She tries to call Angel but he's asleep and dreaming of Darla. She tries Wesley but he doesn't pick up the phone either. She leaves a message on his machine telling him about her vision and for him to get Angel meet her at Gunn's place. Cordelia decides to save Gunn on her own. She grabs a weapon and heads out to Gunn's place in Angel's car. She finds him sparring with someone and accidentally attacks him, even though he wasn't a demon. Wesley, having received Cordelia's message, goes to Angel's to inform him. Gunn tries to get rid of Cordelia but she refuses to leave him because of her vision. Outside they realize that Angel's car has been stolen. Gunn takes her out, searching for Angel's car and all they can do is argue the whole way. They get to a car lot and are informed that Desmond likely got the car but he's at a party tonight. Gunn and Cordelia head to the party where Cordelia doesn't blend in at all. They find Desmond just as vampires show up and start trashing the place. A girl gets a shard of glass in her neck and Cordelia rushes to her aid while the blood gushes out of the girl's neck. After the fight they take her to the hospital where Cordelia's informed that she managed to save the girl's life. They find Desmond and Cordelia demands to know where Angel's car is. They're told about a warehouse where they can locate the car. At the warehouse they find the car but now Cordelia can't find the keys. Deevack appears holding the keys. The demon grabs Gunn's neck and lifts him aboe the ground, choking him. Angel and Wesley show up and start taking out the vampires while Gunn tries to kill Deevack but he begins to lose rapidly. Angel lodges an axe in Deevack's head, killing him.
With the battle done, Gunn tries to thank Cordelia for her help but she tells Gunn that her vision wasn't about a demon, it was about Gunn and how he's on a path of self-destruction because everywhere he goes he creates danger.
Angel returns to his hotel to find Darla waiting for him. She tells him that she'll always be there to take care of him. Angel is dreaming this but he's also unaware of the fact that Darla is actually in his room while he's dreaming of her.

Not really yay or nay for this episode. Left me with a little bit of an empty feeling. They need to explore Gunn's emotions a little bit more in order for us to understand what he's feeling. I don't remember what was said about his family (other than us knowing that Alonna was turned into a vampire) were they killed by vampires? In that case I can understand a little more of where Gunn is coming from. He does seem to cause mass destruction around him, though not intentionally. You'd think that with the way he treats his friends/colleagues he wouldn't have any left. That was pretty harsh about his friend being at the party. If he got his job done he should be allowed to go out and have a little fun. Now, Deevack, the big-ass demon, was really not understood by me. So all he was doing was terrorizing the neighbourhood kids? Okay fine, but why was Gunn so caught up in this Deevack dude? It wasn't that bad, like the end of the world or something. And when are we gonna find out about Darla? We're seeing enough explicit scenes with her that I'd like for Angel to realize that she is alive.

Hmmm.. I was gonna make a "first impressions" funny, but decided against it. This episode was pretty weird and creepy. One of my hugest fears is that someone will come into my room at night and I won't notice it, and it's a really huge freak-out for me. But its kind of funny to see Darla doing to Angel what Angelus did to Buffy (i.e. sneak into her room at night). I guess we know where he picked it up from. I think that Gunn and Cordy are gonna be an item, which would be so cute! Or at least become very good friends. I liked seeing the multi-millionaire dude again, he makes me laugh, but in a pathetic sort of way. How gross was that monster though? What's up with the disgusting, gross, icky, horrible monsters on Angel? There's ugly and then there UGLY! All in all, a pretty decent episode. I can't wait to find out what happens with Darla. The only issue I have is the leniency that they've been taking with vampire folklore. Like Angel standing in the sun a whole lot more than he used to, Angel being able to become human eventually, and especially how they brought back Darla. Yes, a great character but he staked her! Keep her frickin dead!
