Angel visits the Oracles and begs them to do another temporal fold to before Doyle died because Doyle was his friend and only contact to the powers that be. The Oracles refuse and say that his link to the PTB will be restored in time. In a deserted alley somewhere, a demon is running, trying to ditch his follower: a man dressed in all black on a motorcyle wearing a helmet so his face is not visible. Meanwhile, Cordelia is moping around the office and Angel urges her to take the day off. She refuses to go until her beeper goes off, signalling her for a national commercial ! audition. She opens the door and almost runs into a demon who's walking in. The demon makes a beeline to Angel asks for his help. His name is Barney and he's being followed by some demon hunter/assassion for a long time. Barney explains that he's an Empath demon which means that he can read minds and that he tends to cheat at things like poker. Cordelia is at her audtion when in the middle of reciting her lines she gets a blinding pain in her head which turns out to be a vision, she loses control and starts yelling, much to the the people she's audition for's shock. She heads back to the office and kisses a very much surprised Angel on the lips. He prys her away and she says that she didn't feel anything. Cordelia's upset because Doyle's kiss before he died transferred his visions to her and she's none too pleased. She was kissing Angel in an attempt to transfer the visions to him. Angel tries to get her to remember the vision but! she really doesn't care. Barney walks in and Cordelia kisses him, but nothing happens. Angel hands Cordelia a sketch pad and tells her to draw her vision while he heads out to Barney's apartment to look for some clues. At the apartment, Angel is surprised by Wesley Wyndham Price, who holds a crossbow on him. Angel knocks it away and Wesley explains that he's no longer with the Watcher's Council; he's now a rogue demon hunter who's on the trail of a demon who's left a trail of mutilated victims. Suddenly the demon Wesley's talking about drops down from the ceiling and attacks them. Wesley shoots him with the crossbow and the Kungai demon gives up, jumps out the window and runs off.
Cordelia is drawing her vision when Barney makes some comment about sensing her depressed mood. Cordelia snaps at him and says that those feelings are private. Barney apologizes saying that he was just trying to make conversati! on. In walk Angel and Wesley and Barney freaks out; Wesley was the demon hunter following him! Cordelia goes over and kisses Wesley; trying to pass on her gift. It doesn't work and then Cordelia realizes that it's Wesley and is happy to see him. Angel explains to Barney that Wesley isn't hunting him, Wesley's after the Kungai demon that's hunting Barney for him empathic ability. The Kungai is of Asian origin and has a tack horn which sucks out his opponent's life force. Angel heads out to Korea Town, ordering Wesley to stay put. Angel goes to a Korean spa where demons hang out. Cordelia starts talking to Barney and she's frustrated because Doyle gave her his power when she clearly doesn't want it. Barney tries to explain that Doyle gave her the one thing that was most valuable to him. Cordelis makes some coffee while Barney talks on his cell phone; telling someone on the other end that, yes, he does have the Kungai horn and may! be he's found something even better; Cordelia and her powers. Barney hangs up and starts insulting Cordelia showing his true self. Cordelia tries to get away but he grabes her. Meanwhile, Angel finds the Kungai demon dying in a back room of the spa. The demon tries to talk to him but Angel doesn't understand the dialect. Wesley appears and translates most of of the language, though he's a bit rusty. Wesley translates that that the demon's horn has been taken but Angel wants to know who took it. The demon can only describe his attacker and the description fits Barney perfectly.
Back at Angel's office, Cordelia pretends to have a vision to get away but it doesn't work and he knocks her unconscious. Cordelia wakes up to find herself bound and gagged in a dark room. Angel and Wesley go back to the office and Angel finds Cordelia's drawing and he recognizes it as a famous sculpture being sold at some auction house. ! Over at the auction house, Barney is auctioning off the eyes of a Seer which happens to be Cordelia. She's eventually sold to a lawyer from the Wolfram & Hart firm. The lawyer asks for the eyes to be extracted as they will not be needing the body. Just as Barney's about to remove Cordelia's eyes, Angel and Wesley show up. Angel pummels Barney and his friend while Wesley releases Cordelia from her bonds. The Wolfram & Hart lawyer makes a clean getaway. Cordelia eventually kills Barney with the tack horn from the now deceased Kungai demon. Cordelia thanks Angel profusely and he says he couldn't have done it without Wesley.
The next morning Cordelia frames her drawing from her vision as a reminder of Doyle's gift to her. Wesley's heading off but Angel invites him to stay for breakfast. They all sit down to eat the breakfast that Angel's prepared. Which is pretty good, for someone's who's on a liquid ! diet.

A nice all round episode. I knew from Hero that something must have happened with the kiss from Doyle to Cordelia (though I forgot to mention it in my review for Hero). At first I thought it was the soulmate principle (if you don't read L. J. Smith's Night World series then you won't get that) but alas (or rather, thankfully) it wasn't. Cordy with powers! Useful powers! Now there's! something new. I shouldn't really rag on her because Cordy has changed a great deal from her sophomore year way back when on the first season of Buffy. It was rather depressing to note that Doyle had been removed permanently from the cast. Though I can't admit to liking Doyle at first site, I had grown accustomed him and found him rather enjoyable and it was bizarre not seeing him in the office. And then there was Wesley who had so many blunders that it brought a smile to my face. Out with the old and in with the new. Or wait... maybe it's the other way around this time. At first I was somewhat skeptical about Wesley joining the crew but I think he'll provide for a great many laughs in the future.

Hmm, so my question has been answered by t! he P.T.B., thanks to Joss. Faith is still alive, comatose, but still alive, ready to recover (Slayers recover well, don't they?) and come and kick some ass again. I think I was the only person who ever liked Faith. Oops, I just thought about people who don't watch Buffy reading this, but that's rare. If you didn't watch Buffy, but watch Angel, e-mail me, okay? That's enough about that, onto the review. Pretty good ep, but the problem I have with these is that I'm neutral. Episodes are either really amazing and leave me crying or laughing so hard I can't breathe, but the rest are totally neutral and then I have nothing to say, so I ramble on , like this. The thing I did love about this episode is the way that the writer's take one thing, like the demon. Then they twist it totally 360 degrees, and introduce the demon hunter. Then they take the opposite of both those, ! like Wesley. Then they revert back to another 360 and bring back the demon that needed help is actually the bad guy. And that, my friends, is good writing.
