Wesley is being held by the police who think he has mental problems. They try to get info out of him about the bodies they found at the museum. He tells them nothing but babbles on that they weren't prepared and something went horribly wrong and he should have stopped him, even if he was the boss.
Flashback -- Cordelia is telling Wesley that Angel is out helping Gunn's cousin who's in some sort of trouble. The cousin tells Gunn and Angel that there's a group of demons setting up to rip off a museum for a supernatural item and he was going to be the driver but he wants out, especially since a psycho vampire named Jay-Don has joined the group; he's flying in tonight. Angel says he'll handle Jay-Don, leaving Guun, who's pissed off because he's left out of the action. Angel returns to his room to find Kate snooping around, looking for Darla. But Darla's not there and Angel doesn't know where she is. Kate vows to have Darla put in jail for life because of the man she had killed. Cordelia and Wesley return to the office after a cocktail party in which Wesley managed to spill sauce all over her. Angel tells them about the demons planning to rip off a museum. Cordelia and Wesley do research while Angel goes out to meet Jay-Don, in order to replace him in the museum heist so that he can stop it. At the bus depot, Angel acts like a psychotic fan of Jay-Don's and then stakes him quickly and steals his glasses and his bizarre clothes. Jay-Don's ride appears and they leave for the warehouse where the rest of the group is waiting. Angel makes fun of everyone and acts loud and flashy in a dead-on impersonation of Jay-Don. They're just waiting for the driver, Lester. Then Gunn, acting as Lester, appears, to Angel's surprise and displeasure. The long-haired demon called Menlo explains the plan to get the shroud of Rahmon, which is worth 2 million on the black market. The plan is to get the coffin, weighing about one ton, out of the museum tonight. Meanwhile Cordelia and Wesley are checking the museum for recent acquisitions. They stumble on the shround and Wesley gets out his books.
Meanwhile the group is headed to the museum where the crooked security guard lets them in. The alarms are shut off and the gang heads into the vault room. They drill their way in and blow open the vault door. At the police department, Kate is informed about a supposed heist at a museum tonight. Back at the office, Wesley has discovered that the shroud of Rahmon is a cloth which prevents Rahmon from ressurrecting himself and this cloth absorbed Rahmon's mystical powers. Once the shroud is removed from the coffin it will make everyone go insane. The group goes into the vault and strangely enough Angel's face flashes back and forth between its human form and its vampiric one. The group lifts the case slowly. Cordelia and Wesley, thinking that the heist may be tonight, go to the museum and Kate's doing the same thing. The coffin is extremely heavy and the five demons and humans have problems carrying it. Angel and Gunn start to argue, dropping the coffin and lunging for each other's throats. The dropped coffin has cracked the glass, letting some of Rahmon's power escape the coffin. They start fighting but stop when Menlo pulls out a gun. Vyasa, the ugly hairy demon, ties up a security guard and rips his head clean off his body. Meanwhile Kate has entered the building and runs into a babbling Wesley who mutters that the shroud makes everyone act different.
The group is trying to get the box out of there but the progress is slow. Suddenly Gunn goes crazy and Angel's eyes turn yellow. Wesley appears and warns Angel about the shroud. Kate chooses that moment to jump in with her gun out and tell no one to move. Angel lunges for her and bites down into her neck. A squad of cops haas arrived and they find Wesley crouched over a fallen Kate who has nasty bite marks in her neck. The robbers have removed the coffin to their hideout where they remove the lid. The curse of the shroud starts to infect them all and they start to yank on the shroud, fighting each other for it. Angel gets a hold of it and takes it outside where he covers it with kerosene and lights it on fire. A mystical power explodes from the shroud and Angel is blown off his feet.
Present -- Wesley is trying to explain this story to the police, they don't believe him but release him when an ashen-faced Kate orders for his release. At her home Kate is thinking over the moment when Angel bit her. He told her to lie down and act dead so that she would not be killed by the others. He saved her life. Back at the office both Cordelia and Wesley are worried about Angel because this was the first first time he's drank from a human in a very long time. It may have reawakened his bloodlust. In his room, Angel is also reliving the moment when he drank from Kate.

Nika's Comments
Well the first time I watched this episode I must have been out of my mind or something because none of it made any sense. It was like I was in a cloud of confusion about the whole thing. Nothing made sense! Well, rewatching it proved to be useful because now I actually understand what happened! It was creepy! But they could have made it a little more creepy and strange which I would have enjoyed more but this was still pretty decent! I thoroughly enjoyed watching Angel act as Jay-Don. Hehe. Also interesting was the part with Kate, where in the flashback we learn that he was actually trying to save her life. What about hiss bloodlust though? And why was he thinking about it at the end? This does not bode well... But what I don't understand is how come Angel wasn't affected by the powers in the shroud? I mean, he acted crazy but he was pretty much in control of himself the whole time (like when he burned the shroud at the end), but then there were times when his eyes turned yellow and then back to normal again. Interesting... I liked the whole backstory of this episode and I really like that they started this episode with Wesley in jail and then retelling this as a flashback, even though that led to my initial confusion with the storyline. Still, I was pretty impressed with this episode.
