Fear has cast its
shadow on my face I will soon become your father Silently I thirst for your embrace And in the womb, you rest quietly Like a goddess, you'll arrive Holding to your innocence When you leave your mother, you will see I always want you close to me I will soon become your father Though your face is still a mystery I will always be your father And in the womb, you wait quietly Fear has cast its shadow on my face Silently I thirst for your embrace [Back to Music of Season 3] |

Headed for the heart of pain Memories and tears remain And an old photograph of you and I, I know it's not much but it gets me by Verse 1: Life turns another page But I don't feel older because I'm numb from pain Your voice on the phone don't sound the same I try to sleep late just to pass the day It's a waste of time so I find a way to Chorus: Hold you in my dreams Sometimes, it's all I need Someday, you won't be so far from me Until that day, You'll be the girl of my dreams Verse 2: Here's to the nights I thought I'd never miss Smiles taken for granted And the taste of your last kiss The gleam in your eyes, as we tried to hold back our goodbyes Feels like I'm raining inside But you're my blue skies, my perfect little lullaby And when times get rough, all I have to do is try to Chorus |

But I refuse to let you go If I have to beg, plead for your sympathy I don't mind 'cause you mean that much to me Ain't too proud to beg, and you know it (sweet darlin') Please don't leave me, girl (don't you go) Ain't too proud to plead, baby, baby Please don't leave me, girl (don't you go) Now I heard a cryin' man is half a man With no sense of pride But if I have to cry to keep you, I don't mind weepin' If it'll keep you by my side Ain't too proud to beg, sweet darlin' Please don't leave me, girl (don't you go) Ain't too proud to plead, baby, baby Please don't leave me, girl (don't you go) If I have to sleep on your doorstep all night and day Just to keep you from walking away Let your friends laugh, even this I can stand 'Cause I wanna keep you anyway I can Ain't too proud to beg, sweet darlin' Please don't leave me, girl (don't you go) Ain't too proud to plead, baby, baby Please don't leave me, girl (don't you go) Now I've got a love so deep in the pit of my heart And each day it grows more and more I'm not ashamed to come and plead to you baby If pleadin' keeps you from walkin' out that door Ain't too proud to beg, yes you know it (sweet darlin') Please don't leave me, girl (don't you go) Ain't too proud to plead, baby, baby Please don't leave me, girl (don't you go) Baby, baby, baby (sweet darlin') Please don't leave me, girl |

and feather canyons everywhere, I've looked at cloud that way. But now they only block the sun, they rain and snow on everyone. So many things I would have done but clouds got in my way. I've looked at clouds from both sides now, from up and down, and still somehow it's cloud illusions I recall. I really don't know clouds at all. Moons and Junes and ferris wheels, the dizzy dancing way you feel as every fairy tale comes real; I've looked at love that way. But now it's just another show. You leave 'em laughing when you go and if you care, don't let them know, don't give yourself away. I've looked at love from both sides now, from give and take, and still somehow it's love's illusions I recall. I really don't know love at all. Tears and fears and feeling proud to say "I love you" right out loud, dreams and schemes and circus crowds, I've looked at life that way. But now old friends are acting strange, they shake their heads, they say I've changed. Something's lost but something's gained in living every day. I've looked at life from both sides now, from win and lose, and still somehow it's life's illusions I recall. I really don't know life at all. |
