As soon as Sami (Alison Sweeney) returned to Salem, everyone had to be on guard. With her conniving friend Lucas (Bryan Dattilo), Carrie (Christie Clark) didn't know that she was in for a ride of terror!

STRIKE OUT!
     Weddings do not bring good luck for Sami Brady! When she was about to marry Austin, Carrie distrupted the wedding exposing all of Sami's lies. Sami told everyone that she had amnesia and that Austin was her son's father. When Carrie proved that both stories were false, she punched her sister out and married Austin.

WEDDING ENDS WITH MURDER!
     Just when Sami thought she found her Prince Charming, Franco, she found out that he was only marrying her for a green card. At the wedding, Lucas tried to shoot Sami but would end up killing Franco. However, Sami was charged with the murder and suffered the agony of her evil deed while sitting in jail.

 SOLO SAMI!
     With huge void in her heart now that Franco has passed on, Sami consumes herself with the love of her baby son, Will. But Lucas is more set to keep Will in his life and away from Sami forever! This makes Sami more and more anxious as time goes on, as she wonders what traps Lucas will set to get custody of his son. The queen of deceit has a few things up her sleeve to counteract Lucas' schemes, but could she outsmart the rich and powerful Lucas?

SPONTANEOUS CONCLUSION!
     It's been a long time coming but Lucas finally flipped his lid! After being obsessed with Carrie Brady, knowing that they would never be together and discovered that he was Will's father, Lucas drowned his sorrows in liquor. Slowly but surely everyone saw the signs that he was becoming addicted to alcohol, but of course he denied that he had a problem. Even Sami noticed Lucas' odd behavior and restricted his visits with Will which angered him. His drinking got habitually worse as time passed, but his biggest downfall was yet to come...
     Furious at Sami for publicly defaming him, Lucas tried to shoot Sami with her handgun but the bullet hit Franco instead. In an attempt to save her son, Kate told Lucas to leave town and she would take care of everything. Kate tampered with the evidence to make it look like Sami was the murderess. However, as Lucas tried to leave town he wound up in a car wreck as a result of his drunkenness. In the car, the police found two passports, which proved that Lucas planned to kidnap Will!


 THE OLD DAYS!
When Austin and Carrie broke up when Sami stopped their wedding saying she was pregnant with Austin's baby, Carrie started spending time with Lucas. He had a huge crush on her and would do anything to be with her. They first started out as friends, but with some scheming Lucas began to romance Carrie. Soon, Carrie found out about Lucas' trickery and returned to Austin.

What's in store for Lucas in the coming months? His hospital ordeal that led him in a comatose state has transformed the irreverent Lucas into a semi-changed man! After his trauma, Lucas begins to see life through different eyes. While alcohol played a major role in his life, the new Lucas will find other means to vent his problems--pointing to Sami more so than ever! Just when Sami thought it was safe to begin her life again after Franco had departed, she must now psych herself for the consequences Lucas has planned for her!
