Dear Soap Opera Weekly,
We,
the viewers of Days of our Lives, have been patiently waiting
for the characters-Lucas Roberts and Samantha Brady-to become
romantically involved with each other. Lucas and Sami have been
through so much together that it is about time for them to get
together. Through the years, they have shared a deep and powerful
friendship. They were there for each other when they had no one
else to turn to, to trust. They share a son, Will, who was brought
into this world from a night when Lucas and Sami took solace in
each other and expressed their loneliness and feelings for each
other. In conceiving a child together, they share an incredible
bond that can never be broken.
The pasts of these two characters have not been very good ones.
They have never had much luck with friends, or with love. There
was a time when the only friends they had were each other. Their
friendship may be on rocky grounds right now, but it can be rebuilt
into so much more. It can be rebuilt into love, a love so strong,
that it can never be severed.
Recently, we have been given hope for the pairing of these characters.
We have watched as Lucas grew jealous of seeing Sami with Franco.
We have watched Lucas act horrible towards Sami as he dealt with
his drinking problem. We have watched Sami make Will think that
Austin was Will's father. We have watched Sami continually punish
Lucas
for being Will's father.
We are tired of watching this. What we want to see is Lucas and
Sami finally realize how much they love each other. Neither of
them knows what it feels like to truly be loved. We want them
to discover this feeling together. We want to see Lucas and Sami
rebuild their friendship, but turn it into something more. We
want to see Lucas and Sami finally find true love - with each
other.
