THE TORTOISE AND THE HARE

Ray originally intended on making between 15-20 adapations of classic children's stories.  He began with MOTHER GOOSE STORIES and finished with THE STORY OF KING MIDAS producing 5 short films between the years 1946 and 1953.  The sixth project, THE TOROISE AND THE HARE began production and a few sequences were shot but THE BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS came along and Ray never finished the film.
