seaQuest's short-term mission is to enforce the volatile new peace among undersea colonies and vessels and to protect them; to lend immediate aid and assistance to all sub-surface inhabitants; execute rescue operations in dire distress; and broaden the scope of deep-sea exploration and discovery with her advanced technologies and resources on board. Her long-term mission is to lead the way as mankind moves away from aggression aimed at his fellow man; assist man in becoming the Earth's cultivator . . . not her spoiler; take mankind far beyond all previous limits in exploration and discovery of the most dangerous and mysterious region on earth; and transport man as he searches for answers to his own beginnings . . . to his purpose . . . and to his future!
