Wednseday the 23rd of June
Talented Author Stephen King remains in intensive care today after being
hit from behind by a DODGE VAN while walking his dog. It reads like something
he had written. King is in a stable but critical condition in Central Maine Medical Center. According to a Hospital
spokesperson King suffered a "fractured pelvis and right hip, and his
right leg was broken in two places below the knee and also suffered two
fractured ribs, a bruised lung and a minor scalp injury. His right lung
was collapsed when he arrived but was repaired during the first operation".
King will be up and around on Crutches in a few weeks. Local florists have
reportedly been running out of flowers. The King family thanks everyone
who sent them in, the family has taken down the names of everyone who sent
gifts and get-wells and has even distributed some of the flowers to other
patients in the hospital. King is in high spirits event though he faces
a nine months of recovery till he can reachieve his natural best. GET WELL

Oliver Parker is attempting to bring "Hellraiser"
to the stage. Parker is a long time friend of Clive Barker. Parker is currently

Friday the 18th of June
All those people worried that violent films in AMERICA being banned can
rest easy.. The Moral panic appears to be over with the US senate is going
to bebanning anything because it is too violent. As it would interfere with
the First Amendment according to Jack Valenti. Here is a great piece of
wording from IMDB studio briefing. "By a 282-146 vote, members of
Congress on Wednesday rejected a bill authored by House Judiciary Committee
chairman Henry Hyde that would outlaw the sale of extremely violent films,
video games and books to minors.". This of course contradicts and
leaves the American Theatre Assoc red faced. As they are about to cut off
a slab of their market by requiring ID for certain films. This is regualtion
that does not need to be inforced in the US. Why cut off your leg to save
yourself from walking all the time?.

July 29 at cinemas in Australia.

Charles "bud" Tingwell was on the Queens Birthday honours list
this year. Charles was in the ever popular "Dracula Prince of Darkness".
Yay Bud.
The Academy award will now limit the number of OSCARS it gives per film
for best picture to (3) producers. As before it seemed anymore than this
number could not durectly be responsible for the films production.(IMDB)
One sane voice came out America today about violence in films.. From
all places it was the editorial in the New York Daily News. creating "the
appearance of action against youth violence" by "cracking down
on Hollywood rather than on gun dealers." The editorial concludes:
"Denouncing violent films is fine, and embarrassing Hollywood is always
welcome. But it won't necessarily save a single life. Gun control will."
