SCENE 18

Characters: Vicky and Chris, also Paulina
Settng: Carlino's

Vicky and Chris are sitting at a table eating lunch and discussing thier next move.

Chris:[Just staring with his mouth open watching Vicky eat] How can you eat that?

Vicky: Eat what?

Chris: That!

Vicky: The ice cream?

Chris: No, the combination of ice cream and Ritz crackers (makes a gross face)

Vicky: I had a craving

Chris: Uh- huh! Did Jake figure out the question yet?

Vicky: Speaking of that. What's the story behind it?

Chris: You are kidding, right? You still have not heard about Goliath?

Vicky: Goliath?

Chris:[laughing and moves his chair closer to Vicky's] You have to hear this. Jake was dancing with some chick that he knew right? And then this. . .

Vicky: What chick?

Chris: I don't know. Some real estate agent. Anyway, he decides to get a little too close for comfort and Zeus shows up. One thing leads to another and Jake slugs him. The guy didn't even flinch and then Jake went nuts. He started throwing beer bottles, and throwing tables and chairs. One thing leads to another and,

Paulina[bringing a second bowl of crackers and ice cream], he lands straight in jail.

Chris: Singing "Jail House Rock".

Vicky: Why?

Paulina: Oh brother! Do you want anything, Chris?

Chris:[looking at Vicky eating] I lost my appetite. Jake better find that damn second letter before she has a craving for chocolate and lettuce.

SCENE 19

Characters: Jake and a Bartender

Jake walks into Sassy's and we see the bartender quickly put away all the glasses on the bar.

Jake: Hey sport! This may sound like a silly question[laughs]. But, do you by any chance do you have a letter for me?

Bartender: If I don't, are you going to trash this place again?

Jake: [wiggles his fingers in a come here gesture and the bartender comes closer] I just might!

Bartender: Low and behold what do we have here? No letter.

Jake: Excuse me?

Bartender:[moving the one remaining glass away from Jake's reach] No letter!

Jake: O.k can I have a vodka?

Bartender: Do you think I'm stupid? There is a reason that there is a poster of you up on the wall.

Jake: That was two years ago, and I spent the night in jail. Jail house rock!

Jake quickly barges out of the bar and heads to the BCPD.

SCENE 20

Characters: Vicky, Chris and Grant
Setting Carlino's

Chris: I think I am going to be sick. It was a joke you know.

Vicky: It was a good idea [dipping some lettuce in chocolate sauce]

Chris: I think I'm going to go before I open my mouth about Cereal and Apple cider.

Vicky:[chewing on the letttuce] Remember, the 19th

Grant: What about the 19th

Vicky: [turning around and in mid dip into the chocolate sauce] You scared me, I thought you were Jake.

Grant: There's a first. Never been mistaken for a snake.

Vicky: No, just the devil. What do you want?

Grant: You phoned me. Remember?

Vicky: Oh right! About Sunday, being your visititation day with Kirk. Can we possible switch days and you could have him any other day of the week?

Grant: Why?

Vicky: Yes or No, Grant?

Grant: Fine.

Exit scene.

SCENE 21

Characters: Jake and Joe
Setting: Joe's office

Joe: Sorry to keep you waiting McKinnon.

Jake:[slumped in the chair] Yeah, I bet!

Carlino: What can I do for you?

Jake: A letter.

Joe: You mean this envelope marked Jake the Snake?

Jake: Probably

Joe: I need proof that you are indeed him.

Jake: What all of a sudden you think my driver's license says Jake the Snake on it?

Joe: No, just a little trip down memory lane will do.

Jake: I'm getting sick of these games.

Joe: Simple question. How did you almost bankrupt Carlino's?

Jake: It was your fault! [Joe holds up the envelope] Alright Joe, I let you buy the building from me with back taxes still on it. Now give me the letter Carlino.

Joe: [Throws him the envelope and places a tape player on the desk] See ya Jake.

Jake: Had to bring in Defective Carlino in on this too, huh, Vic?

Joe:[from outside the office] That's captain Carlino

Jake mimics Joe and plays the tape. It is the voice of Paulina

Tape: To find the next clue you must solve the next riddle.

Jake: Thanks a lot, Carlino

Tape: Find a story that ends with this line "I'm not very good at happily ever afters"

Jake: I was just there. That red headed little brat knew it all along. What else to we have here? Another picture. Ted Danson? Vicky is going to die a slow and painful death.

Exit scene.

SCENE 22

Characters: Jake, Allie,Cameron and Amanda
Setting: Amanda's bedroom

Amanda: What are you doing?
Cameron: What's it look like?
Amanda: You are bad.
Cameron: I know. [picks up Amanda and takes her to the bed and lays her down]

Cameron and Amanda start kissing each other when they hear a noise coming from the window.

Amanda: [startled and frightened] Someone is trying to break in
Cameron: Just the wind and some trees.

Amanda and Cameron continue to make out as Jake barges through window.

Jake: Oh God, I'm blind
Amanda: [yelling] Jake! What are you doing here?

Cameron gets up and slugs Jake knocking him to the floor as Allie enters the room.

Allie: Jake. Jake, are you alright? Why did you do that for? [kneels down by Jake seeing if he is o.k.]
Cameron: He broke in again.
Amanda[sitting on the bed with the covers wrapped around her] What do you mean again?
Cameron: He snuck in the window after faking leaving this morning.
Amanda: Allie, take Jake to the living room and babysit him until I get down there.

Jake gets to his knees and walks on them with Allie hooked on his arm. While walking by Cameron, Jake snarls and shows his teeth to him.

SCENE 23

Characters: Vicky and Nick
Setting: Michael's Barn

Nick: So this is what Dad left you?

Vicky: Yeah, he was always as subtle as a fog horn.

Nick: I am so happy for you and Jake. [hugs Vicky]

Vicky: I'm happy for you, too, Uncle Nicky

Nick: No offence to your boys, but it better be a girl this time around.

Vicky looks at Nick and his words take her back to the time where Jake had to tell her about Bridget's death.

Flashback:

Vicky: Is that what you would tell them? I mean if you had a child? Is that what you would tell them?

Jake: I would tell her I loved her. (Jake wiping a tear away fron Vicky's face)

Vicky: What?

Jake:[realizing that he misspoke] What you have something against girls now?

Vicky: Bridget always said I was going to have a little girl.

Jake: Well, what Bridget said usually comes true.

End of Flashback

Nick: Vicky?

Vicky: hmmm

Nick: What were you thinking about?

Vicky: Bridget and Dad.

Nick: They would be proud and they would also spoil this child rotten, if they were still here that is.

Bells ring and the cradle rocks by itself as Vicky looks on

Vicky: [Vicky smiles] They are still here.

Nick: I' ll set this up in the place you wanted and Jake will be in for the surprise of a lifetime.

Vicky: Hopefully. If Allie doesn't spill the beans first.

Exit scene

SCENE 24

Characters: Allie, Jake, Cameron and Amanda
Setting: Cory living room

Amanda: What exactly were you thinking, Jake?

Jake: Didn't want to wake anybody up[sitting down next to Allie]. So I decided to use the window.[looking at Amanda with his usual playful look]

Cameron: Wrong window!

Allie: You think? [Jake trying hard not to laugh, holds his hand over his mouth]

Amanda: It's not funny, Jake!

Allie: I thought it was. [Jake bursts out laughing]

Cameron: I'll be upstairs, I think you can handle this on your own.

Amanda: I'll be up in a few moments

Jake: Me too, sweetheart.

Cameron leaves and the three are left looking at each other.

Amanda: Jake this was way over the line.

Jake: [Jake getting up from the couch to face the standing Amanda] You are blowing this way out of proportion.

Amanda: I am what?

Jake: You are acting like I set up a ladder outside the mansion and was ready to steal your daughter's hand in marriage and wisk her away to a Las Vegas chappel.

Allie: Oh Jake...[cheesy princess voice] My knight in shining armor

Jake:[quickly kneeling down in front of the side of the couch. Allie standing up on the couch]What?

Allie: Oh Romeo[hands covering her heart]

Jake falls off his knees and is laughing hard laying on the floor. Amanda stands over him and looks at him.

Amanda: Jake, can I talk to you in private?

Jake and Amanda leave to the patio.

Amanda: She was grounded Jake. That means no visitors.

Jake: I just wanted to ask her one little question.

Amanda: Tough, Jake.

Jake: Amanda, Please![gets on his knees and begs] I will beg if you want me to.

Amanda: You can ask the question on one condition.

Jake:[gets up and with a serious look on his face] What? Anything!

Amanda: Make Allie like Cameron.

Jake: What am I? A miracle worker.

Amanda: That's the condition.

Jake: Fine. But not tonight. Deal?

Amanda: Deal[both shake hands]

SCENE 25

Characters: Vicky and Steven
Setting: Cottage

Steven: Here mom

Vicky: I didn't ask for a pillow

Steven: I know, but you look tired.

Vicky: I'm that bad?

Steven: No, but you need your rest.

Vicky: Hey, the day that I can't stay up later than you is the day that I die. What's really bothering you?

Steven: With the baby coming and all. . .

Vicky: You feel that you are going to be left out

Steven sits by the couch and near his mom.

Steven: It's just that..

Vicky: What, sweetie?

Steven: I am afraid that Jake would forget about me.

Vicky: Not possible!

Steven: But he will have his own kid.

Vicky: Jake could never forget about you. Wanna know why?

Steven: Why?

Vicky: He loved you the minute that he cradled you in his arms. The first time that he saw you was the first time that anybody did. He delivered you.

Steven: In the snow storm, right?

Vicky: Right! He will never forget you. Plus he will need tons of help with your new brother or sister.

Steven: I was thinking of some more names.

Vicky: Here we go again.

Steven: You said Bridget was one of a kind, but I can't see what the problem would be if it was a girl...her middle name would be Connell. After Bridget.

Vicky: You know what? I think once we tell Jake, you can bring that up with him. Both of you can name her together. How's that?

Steven: Deal.

SCENE 26

Characters: Jake and Allie
Setting: Cory living room

Jake and Allie are in the Cory living room and talking about the past. Allie is laying on the couch with her head on Jake's lap using it as a pillow. Jake is playing with her hair.

Jake: Allie, about this surprise you cooked up with my wife.

Allie: I don't know what you are talking about? [grinning widely]

Jake: I need your help, Allie. I just need one riddle answered. Remember when I was telling you about me not being very good at happily ever afters.

Allie: Yeah

Jake: So where is it?

Allie: Where's what, Jake?

Jake: The letter.

Allie: I never thought you were this stupid. It's not here.

Jake: Then where is it?

Allie: I shouldn't be telling you this, but since you won't be able to solve it before Sunday without help...Think of the whole story you told me about the prince and princess.

Jake: I can't remember. Why don't you tell me what it is?

Allie: That would be cheating way too much Jake.

Jake: All of a sudden you are worried about breaking the rules...Miss sneaking out of the back way.

Allie:[pointing her finger up at Jake's face] You taught me that. I'll tell you the whole story and you have to pick out the place the letter will be.

Jake: OK, Let's hear the story. And don't take 3 days to tell me, huh?

Allie: You are hopeless.......

Allie proceeds to tell Jake the whole story and the scene ends.

SCENE 27

Characters: Jake and Vicky
Setting: Home Sweet Home

Vicky is lying on the couch watching an old time movie awaiting Jake to come home from his latest adventure. What Vicky doesn't know is that Jake is already in the house..

TV: Have you every been biten by a dead bee?

Jake comes out of that Doolish book case. He crawls toward the back of the couch and responds to the question on the TV.

Jake: No, have you?

Vicky is startled and looks behind the couch.

Vicky: What are you doing here? [getting up from the couch]

Jake: Solving your little mystery to the third letter.

Vicky:[startled look on her face] Then why are you not in Lassiter?

Jake: So, it is at the Water Tower I wrote your name on. If you climbed that tower in your condition, I am going to have to have a serious talk with the rest of your partners in crime.

Vicky:[walks away from Jake with a worried look on her face]What condition would that be, Jake?

Vicky is looking up to the heavens hoping that Jake doesn't ruin all there hard work. Jake moves toward her and hugs her around the stomach and kisses her neck. Vicky gulps and thinks Jake knows.

Jake: Well, for starters, if you climb that tower in that skirt, Chris better not have been watching you climb. Second, Steven told me that you were feeling kind of sick for the last couple of days. So..

Vicky: [turning to Jake and sees his face] You still don't know. Do you?

Jake: Why don't you just tell me, Vicky, I don't want to go back to that rat infested place where we called home again. I was just there two days ago. [Vicky slugs Jake in the arm]

Vicky: Oh no, after the shower stunt that you pulled on me... You are going to have to work for everything you want from me.

Jake moves closer to Vicky and looks her in the eyes and smiles.

Jake: Everything? [places a kiss on her neck and smiles wickedly]

Vicky: Everything!

Jake continues kissing her on the neck and then to the lips.

Jake: Do you know what I want?

Vicky: [still being kissed on the neck] Uh-huh

Jake: And

Vicky: Your still not getting the answer to the mystery. [walks away and up the stairs]

Jake: [thinking he is alone] I must be losing my touch.

Vicky[on top of the stairs unbuttoning her blouse] Nope. But if you are serious about the huckle buck, I will be in our bed. Just whistle to come in. You do know how to whistle don't you. [throws her blouse down the stairs] Just put your lips together and blow. [goes to their room]

Jake: [all alone whistling a cat call]

SCENE 28

Characters: Nick and Chris
Setting: Jake's old penthouse apartment

Chris and Nick are on the outside of the apartment and carrying the cradle Michael made.

Chris: We seriously need to get a life...You know that?

Nick: Hey, I'm a relative. What's your excuse?

Chris: Jake

Nick: Jake?

Chris: He would probably fire me if I didn't

Nick: You got the keys?

Chris: You have the keys.

Nick: No I don't, Vicky said you would have them

Chris turns around and throws his arms in the air.

Chris: This is just great! Great! That's just perfect, Nick!

Nick is laughing hard.

Chris: What are you laughing at?

Nick: You been hanging around Jake too much.

Chris: [calms down and looks at Nick seriously] What?

Nick: You sounded just like Jake.

Chris: It is 1:00 in the morning! Tell me you just didn't go there!

Nick: Just like his twin.[laughing some more] You sure you weren't separated at birth?

Chris: I'm tired. I am not going to argue with you. What do we do now?

Nick: Not much we can do except call Vicky.

Chris: Oh, yeah!! A call at 1:00 in the morning won't raise Jake's suspicions

Nick: He's probably half way to Lassiter right now.

Chris:[in a grumpy mood] Just make the call, huh?

Nick places the call on his cell phone and mumbles

Nick: Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning

Chris:[turns his back and puts his hands in his coat] What bed?

SCENE 29

Characters: Vicky and Jake. Nick on the phone
Setting: IN BED

Vicky and Jake are sleeping with the covers over their head and body totally. The phone rings and both of them groan loud. Vicky answers the phone after pulling off the covers.

Vicky: Hello

Nick:[phone] We need the keys to Jake's apartment, Vicky

Jake:[under the covers still and tired voice] Who is it?

Vicky:[pulls the phone away from her ear] It's just Mrs.Gellar, go back to sleep

Nick: Is Jake there?

Vicky: Yes

Nick: We need the keys to enter the apartment.

Vicky: [whispering] Ask the super

Nick: It's still Jake's apartment. Plus the super won't let us in.

Vicky: Good. Kirk found what he was looking for. Goodnight Mrs Gellar. No problem at all. [whispering]I'll be right there [hangs up]

Vicky checks to see if Jake is awake by shaking his body. Jake doesn't respond. Vicky sneaks out of bed and gets dressed in a trench coat and sneaks out of the dark room. Jake sneaks out from underneath the wrong end of the bed covers and we see his face due to the crack of light from the door.

Jake: Mrs. Gellar. I don't think so.

Jake gets out of bed and quitely follows Vicky grabing his jeans and shirt and leaves with just boxers on.

SCENE 30

Characters: Vicky Chris and Nick
Setting: Outside Jake's old apartment

Vicky: Hurry up!! I think Jake followed me.

Chris: [surprised] He what?

Vicky: You are actually surprised at that.

All three are in the apartment and they close the door with Vicky looking through the peep hole.

Vicky:[whispering] I don't see him

Nick: That's good, right?

Vicky: [Looking back at Nick sitting on the leather couch] Could be I was just imaging that car following me.

Chris: You best be getting back, what was your excuse?

Vicky: I didn't give him one.

Chris: You better leave now then.

Nick: Vicky, before you go, one question.

Vicky: [Opening the door] Shoot

Nick: What's with the trench coat?

Vicky: You don't want to know.

Vicky leaves the apartment and heads to the elevator and we see Jake stick his head out from around the corner.

Jake: [smiling and shaking his head] Everyone is about to get a surprise of a lifetime now. It's my turn for a little fun and games. Starting with my little devil of a wife.

SCENE 31

Characters: Chris and Nick
Setting: Jake's old apartment

Chris and Nick are setting up the apartment with decorations for the surprise for Jake

Nick: Have you ever thought of having kids?

Chris:[a balloon slips out of his hands and away from the helium tank.] I do sometimes. I'll probably be exactly like Jake and turn to mush, but that is a long way off.

Nick: So what kind of father do you think Jake will be?

Chris: Besides from spoiling the kid way too much?

Nick: Yeah

Chris: Let's just pray that it is a boy, because if Vicky ever had a girl... Jake would be so whipped it wouldn't even be funny. You see how he is with Vicky, multiple that by an infinite number.

Nick: Let's get back to decorating this place.

The room was finished with hundreds of balloons both pink and blue. The cradle was in the middle surrounding by giant plastic baby bottles and rattles. Pink and Blue giant stuffed teddy bears were seated on the sofa and chairs. Streamers lined the walls and a banner ran across the room with the words "Happy Father's Day"

Nick: I still can't believe that Allie thought of this idea.

Chris: Smart little cookie.

Nick: Father's day is going to be an eventful day.

Chris: Yep, do we know how to throw a party or what?

SCENE 32

Characters: Jake and Vicky
Setting Cottage living room

Jake has just beaten Vicky home and is trying to figure out what the pictures of Tom Selleck and Ted Danson mean and stumbles on the idea by flipping through the stations on the TV.

TV: Three Men and a Baby starring Tom Selleck and Ted Danson continues

Jake drops the remote and tears start to well up in his eyes.

Jake: It can't be...

Jake hears Vicky's car pull up and quickly is snapped out of his trance and runs up to bed.

SCENE 33

Characters: Jake, Nick, Chris, and Paulina
Setting Carlino's

Jake barges into Carlino's and sees Nick and Chris talking.

Jake: [stealing a chair form another customer as he is about to sit down on it] So what are my favorite two men doing with there heads together.

Nick: Nothing

Chris: Nothing

Jake steals some bacon from Chris and gets up from the chair and runs into the kitchen to bug Paulina.

Chris: He is going to be one surprised knuckle head.

Chris and Nick hi-five. Jake sneaks up behind Paulina who is chopping and shredding potatoes for the pancakes. Jake puts his arms around Paulina and yells:

Jake: Good morning Cupcake!

Paulina: [elbowing Jake a little below the belt.] You scared the hell out of me.

Jake:[bent over and trying to catch his breath] Are you going to explain to Vicky why we can't have kids anymore?

Paulina: What?[shocked look on her face]

Jake: You just elbowed me and I don't think I will be able to do the huckle buck for a long time.

Paulina: Just put some ice on it and it will be fine.

Jake: So where is Joe?

Paulina:[scrunches her face up in a weird look] Why would you want to know where Joe is?

Jake: [removes a package from a shopping bag] I bought him a Father's Day present?

Paulina: [Gets a shocked look on her face] YOU WHAT?

Jake: Just kidding the present is for Allie.

Jake barges throught the kitchen door just before he gets hit with a potato. Jake, behind the swinging door of the carlino's kitchen smiling with a big grin, says to himself:

Jake: So it is true, I'm going to be a daddy. Time for the mark to become the con.

SCENE 34

Characters: Jake and Allie
Setting: Cory living room

Jake is waiting for Allie to come down the stairs and see him.

Allie: Jake, what are you doing here?[grumpy early morning voice]

Jake: Well, if you are going to greet me like that, I won't give you your present.

Allie: Present. What is it? [Trying to jump up and grab the present from Jake]

Jake:Well, you are going to have to get it first.[holding the package over her head.]

Allie:[stomps on Jake's foot and Jake drops the present and grabs his toe] Got it.

Jake laughs as she opens the present and sees the look on her face.

Jake: What's the matter, Allie? Not what ya wanted.

Allie is looking at a home video of "Three Men and a Baby".

Jake: I know Allie and you are going to help me with a surprise for Vicky.

End of scene.

SCENE 35

Characters: Vicky, Chris, Paulina, Nick and Allie
Setting: Jake's newly decorated apartment.

Paulina: So when is Jake going to get here?

Vicky: Around five o'clock

Chris: How did you get him to come?

Vicky: [smiling devilishly, holds up a hot red silk teddy] A little pre dinner huckle buck olympic games.

Nick tries to cover Allie eyes but she ducks under them.

Allie: [looks at what Vicky is holding up] So that is what that word means.

Chris:[putting his ear to the door] I think I hear somebody coming

Vicky: Kill the lights and draw the shades and everybody hide.

Paulina and Allie are hiding behind the cradle

Paulina: This is going to be great. I can't wait to see Jake's face

Allie: [rolling her eyes] Yeah I can't wait either

The key rattles in the door and the door opens to a loud cheer of Happy Father's Day Jake. However, Jake is not the one coming through the door. Instead a humble and funny looking clown with a neon green wig, a bright red nose, a big red smile and a teary blue eye. The jump suit is satin blue on one side and red on the other, with furry yeallow balls lining the front of the chest.

Chris: [surprised look on his face] Who hired the bozo?

Chris, Nick, Paulina and Vicky are all shocked with Allie still hiding behind the crib laughing. The clown begins his routine and starts by placing his finger in front of his lips and starts to play a game. He wants the rest of the group to follow. The clown places his hand on his chest and repeats it a couple of times

Nick: You

The clown shakes his head and honk a horn once

Allie:[stopped laughing] You want us to guess your name?

The clown drops to his knees and pulls a bouquet of flowers out of his sleeve. He gives it to Allie and then honks his horn twice.

Chris: Bozo

The clown quickly gets up and squirts Chris in the eye with a flower on his jump suit.

Chris: [starts chasing the clown] I am going to get you

The clown quickly runs and jumps over the couch which is filled with balloons and teddy bears and hides behind Allie-- honking his horn many times.

Paulina: So what is your name?

The clown is behind Allie still is cowering and pointing at Chris. Vicky holds Chris back and is trying to calm him down while Allie is laughing uncontrollably. The clown takes his hand and places it on his mouth and shakes his head.

Nick: You can't speak! Is that right?

The clown holds honks his horn again twice

Chris: [still being held back by Vicky] We are going to be here all night

The clown holds his right hand out and shakes his finger in a no gesture. He reaches down in his medicine bag and places a takes out a stethoscope and a sign with his name on it. He shows it to Allie.

Allie: His name is Jock-o, the world's best juggling clown.

The clown continues to hink his horn twice and smiles while nodding his head many times over. The clown looks at Vicky and puts the stethoscope in his ears and points to his belly and then to hers.

Vicky:[not seeming to get it at first] Oh, you want to hear the baby? Still to early for that Jock-o.

The clown looks over to Vicky with a frown on his face and shrugs his shoulders. The clown once again pulls out a sign from the medicine bag and points for Allie to read it.

Allie: He says he has a surprise for Vicky

Vicky: He does. Where is it? Nick, did you do this?

Nick: Don't look at me

The clown pulls out another sign annd points to Allie to read it

Allie: Put a red nose on and open the door

Vicky takes the nose from Jock-o the clown and puts it on and walks to the door and opens it. Jake is standing right there in front of her eyes and he takes the nose off of her and smiles and says:

Jake: Gotcha!!![but the voice doesn't sound like Jake]

The clown quickly takes off his wig and nose and moves behind Vicky and turns her around and plants a big hot wet romantic steamy kiss. Vicky opens her eyes and sees two Jakes standing right before her eyes. The faux Jake removes his mask to reveal Joe Carlino under the latex mask.

Jake:[dressed as Jock-o and looks at Vicky] Never try to con a conman, especially when he is better then you. And if you are shocked now, wait till you see what I have in store for you at the cottage.
Joe:[smiling] I still can't believe you were able to pull this off ,McKinnon.
Jake: I wouldn't have been able too if that mask wasn't still in evidence after the truck bombing. The artist couldn't make one fast enough. Remind me to thank Grant.

SCENE 36

Characters: Jake, Vicky, Allie and Matt
Settting: Car and Cory mansion

Jake and Vicky are in the front seats of the car and Allie is in the back asleep as it is 2: 00am. They pull up into the cory mansion driveway

Jake:[looking in the rearview mirror] Looks like the red head has had a hard day and decided to crash

Vicky:[turning around and looking at Allie and whispering] Yeah, if only she could have kept her mouth shut today

Jake:[looks at Vicky with a stern face] Watch it!

Vicky[laughing] Are you going to be this protective with our child, too?

Jake: You know it!

Vicky: [looking back at Allie] Well, Daddy to be, time for some practice

Jake: [puzzled look on his face] What do you mean?

Vicky: What do I mean? What do I mean? [slaps Jake in the chest and looks back at Allie]

Jake:[turns around and looks at Allie] Oh!! [looks at Vic] She is eleven- years- old, plus Amanda will kill me if I go up to that front door. It is 2 in the morning. You do it!

Vicky looks at Jake

Jake:[opening the door and getting out] Fine

Jake opens the back passenger door and unbuckles Allie's seat belt.

Jake:[whispering] Allie, you don't have to wake up, just put your arms around my neck.

Jake carries Allie to the front door and Vicky follows in front and rings the door bell. Matt anwers.

Matt: [looking at jake and whispers] I always knew you were a Bozo, but this just confirms it.

Vicky laughs lightly until Jake looks at her with Allie in his arms.

Jake: [looks at matt with a straight face] That's Jock-o to you pal. [then looks to Vicky] I will find out who hid my clothes.

Matt: I'll take her

Jake: I know where her room is.

Jake proceeds to take Allie up the stairs

SCENE 37

Characters: Jake and Vicky
Setting: The cottage

Jake and Vicky are on the landing and watching the stars in the June sky on that patio swing in the front yard. Jake still has his clown costume on and Vicky is cradled in his arms and placing her head on his shoulder.

Jake: [smelling Vicky hair] mmm..strawberry's

Vicky: Hey!!! [raising her head up and looking at Jake]

Jake:[kissing her on the lips] Hey what?

Vicky: Where's my surprise?

Jake: Your surprise! Somebody is full of herself

Vicky:[getting up and standing in front of Jake] Oh No, after the stunt you pulled! You better have a surprise for me. [pushing Jake causing him to sway on the patio swing]

Jake:[laughing] The surprise isn't for you. I wonder if the boys are awake.

Vicky: They are at Donna's and you know that. They are keeping Mom busy. I am not ready to tell her yet, until you knew.

Jake: [getting up from the patio swing] I think it is time we give her a call and tell her how many people you told before her. [walks to the door] I think I will start alphabetically and start with Allie, then Chris

Vicky: [chases after Jake] Don't try to change the subject!

They both end up in the cottage with Jake trying to pick up the phone and Vicky having her hand on it.

Vicky: First, I want my surprise.

Jake:[laughing] Talk about impatient

Vicky: ME? Who was the one that had to spoil the surprise?

Jake: Fine. It is in part our surprise[pats Vicky's stomach] Follow me. Oh, almost forgot[ takes out a rag from his pocket] Pull! [Vicky pulls it out and only three silk rags come out] Turn around.

Vicky turns around and Jake blindfolds her Jake leads her to the backyard and tells her to back up a little and put her hand here and there and to sit down. Jake unties her blindfold and:

Vicky: Jake, you didn't!!

Jake: [leaning on the tree of the tree house and shakes his head] Of course.

Vicky: Why?

Jake: They were going to put a new one up and I decided to buy the old one. [comes to Vicky and kneels down in front of her and looks at a sitting Vicky] I thought what would happen if my little girl was crying and we couldn't make her stop. So, I figured out that what made her mother stop crying as a child would make my new little girl stop. And the answer was simple. . .

Both:{Jake and Vicky look at each other] The swings

Vicky[tears starting to flow] Wait a second! Just wait just one minute.[wiping away the tears with her hand] What makes you think it is going to be a little girl?

Jake: Bells

Vicky:[looking at Jake like he was nuts] Bells?

Jake: [getting up and sitting on the swings next to Vicky] What? You think you are the only one that hears bells from Bridget?

Vicky:[looking at Jake with still a crazy look on her face] Yeah right? Get out of here!

Jake:[looks at Vicky] Come here! [Vicky and Jake get up and move toward the tree house] Watch and learn. Little boy. .. . Nothing right, no movement of the swings and no bells

Vicky: Jake? It isn't windy.

Jake: True! However, watch! Little girl. . .

The swings start moving and bells can be heard and Vicky jumps up in Jake's arms and hooks her legs around him.

Vicky: A little girl, we are going to have a little girl.

Jake swings her around and tells her he loves her.

Bridget:[sitting on the swing] It's about time!
