Jake's Dream, Part 6

SCENE 23

FADE IN: The mystery man is back in the apartment where he is keeping Allie. He unties the gag from her mouth and Allie is about to scream.

MYSTERY MAN: [covering Allie mouth] Don’t even think of it, Little Girl!

ALLIE: [looking scared and shocked]

MYSTERY MAN: [removing his hand] If you don’t scream, I will give you the food that is on the desk.

ALLIE: [silently shaking her head yes in understanding]

MYSTERY MAN: [walking to the desk and bringing the food to her on a tray]

ALLIE: Why are you doing this?

MYSTERY MAN: [sternly looking at her with his hands full with the tray]

ALLIE: [a little scared but starting to act brave] What? You said not to scream, and I didn’t scream.

MYSTERY MAN: [placing the food on the tray that was set up in front of a tied up Allie]  Eat your food!

ALLIE: [looking down at the food and then to the stranger] How?

MYSTERY MAN: [unties her hands] That better! [walks to the phone]

ALLIE: [watching as the man turns his back and sticks the knife under her sleeve]

MYSTERY MAN: [turns around to check on the girl]

ALLIE: [picking up the fork and takes some food on the fork]

MYSTERY MAN: [looks at Allie as she is eating] He should get the message by the end of the night. The delivery should be arriving at the Cory Estate anytime now.

FADE OUT: Allie is looking at the man and starts to feel woozie. The camera pans to Allie’s view of the stranger and is all fuzzy and we cannot see any of the man’s features.   The camera goes to black signifying Allie being drugged.

SCENE 24

FADE IN: Jake and Carl are just outside the living room talking.

JAKE: [tugging away from Carl’s grasp] You can let go of me now!

CARL: [looking at Jake] Do you think that was very productive?

JAKE: [confused] What?

CARL: [turning his head to the direction of the living room] What? What you just did in there?

JAKE: [following Carl’s pointed finger to the living room with his eyes] Just give him a couple of bucks, and all is forgotten!! [smirking]

CARL: What about Allie?

JAKE: [getting a serious look on his face] Don’t go there!

CARL: What are we going to do about this?

JAKE: [fixing the collar of his trench coat] We? No offence here Carl, but I don’t need the Shakespeare quoting Mayor.

CARL: [Putting his hand on Jake’s shoulder] Who says you are . . .

VICKY: [running from the living room] Someone is on the phone for you, Mr. Mckinnon.

JAKE: [looking at Vicky] Who?

VICKY: They wouldn’t say, but she seems very upset.

JAKE: She?

Amanda answered the phone and grew white as a ghost.

JAKE: Why didn’t you just say that? [doesn’t wait for an answer and storms off into the living room]

VICKY: [looking at Carl]

CARL: [walks into the living room shaking his head]

FADE OUT: Carl and Jake leave Vicky in the empty hallway, questioning what is going
on.

Exit Scene

SCENE 25

FADE IN: The train tressle where a car pulls up and the mystery stranger gets out. He pops open the trunk and takes out a knocked out Allie and lays her near the foundation of the bridge. He proceeds to get back in the black car and drives off, leaving Allie tied up and unconcious.

FADE OUT: The scene changes quickly with Jake being handed a sheet of paper by Matthew. Jake looks at Amanda as the scene ends

SCENE 26

FADE IN: The Cory Clan, Vicky, Steven, Joe and Jake are still in the living room as Jake reads the directions that the mystery phone call.

JAKE: [looks at Amanda] Why does he want me to do it?

JOE: [talking to Matt] He’s going to get her killed.

AMANDA: [looking at Vicky] I guess that’s the question

VICKY: [looking confused] All right! That is it! What is going on here?

AMANDA: [walking closer to Vicky] As if you didn’t know

VICKY: [throwing her hands in the air] I don’t!!

JAKE: [looking at her] Cut the . . .

RACHEL: [looking sternly at Jake and then to the grandfather clock] Jake

AMANDA: [walking by Vicky] Typical blonde!

VICKY: [blowing a gasket] What was that for? You don’t have to get catty!

AMANDA: [turning around and slapping VICKY] You are the reason my daughter was kidnapped.

VICKY: [shocked and rubbing her jaw] What?

JAKE: [turning around because he heard the slap]

MATTHEW: [holding Amanda] What are you waiting for McKinnon?

FADE OUT: Jake leaves to look for Allie, while the Cory Clan try to calm Amanda down. The whole family goes to Amanda leaving Vicky to sneak off to follow Jake.


SCENE 27

FADE IN: Jake drives up a few miles from the train tressle and gets out of his car, but is hidden in the darkness because of the shadows that were casted by the headlights. Jake decides to walk the remaining miles as he slams the car door shut. Vicky, who is hiding
in the back seat under an old trench coat, waits a few minutes and gets out of the car.

VICKY: [removing the jacket and throwing through the open window of Jake’s car] If I am the one that dragged that child into this, I am going to be the one that helps to bring her home.

FADE OUT: Rain begins to fall as Vicky persues after Jake being careful not to get too
close.


SCENE 28

FADE IN: The Harbour club is about to close down as a stranger puts down his drink and places a few bucks beside the glass. Gary, who is the bartender, looks at the stranger and approaches to receive the cash.

GARY: [looking a little skeptical] Are you new in town? [wipes the table down with a white cloth and takes the money witht he other hand]

STRANGER: [only seeing the back of his head] Returning to town, been away awhile.

GARY: [turns his back to the stranger to put the money in a deposit box] How long were you gone? [turns to see no one there.]

FADE OUT: Gary puts the rag on the bar and heads around tot he other side of the bar to sweep the floor and put the stools on the bar. He sweeps the floor around the bar and the camera pans down to reveal a gold ring laying near the last stool where the stranger was sitting, with the initials RH on the band of the ring.
