SCENE
29
FADE IN: Jake has approached the train tressle as the rain begins
to fall harder and the
thunder echoes through the night. Vicky is still keeping her
distance as she hides behind
a tree in the dark. Jake reaches Allie at the foundation of the
train tressle and bends
down to see if she is alright.
JAKE: [brushing her hair away with his hand]
Allie. Allie.
ALLIE: [coming too] No. . . Don’t
JAKE: [continuing to hold her and talking to
her] Sweetheart, it’s Jake. Allie! [Jake
suddenly hears a twig snap in the background] Shhh. . . just
rest. [slowly stands up and
hears another twig snap.]
FADE OUT: Jake is standing above Allie and Vicky is hiding behind
a tree praying that
she wasn’t discovered by Jake.
SCENE 30
FADE IN: The Cory Clan is gathered around Amanda supporting her
in her time of need.
Steven is still on the couch, apparently invisible to the people
around him. Joe walks over
to Steven and sits beside him.
JOE: So, how do you know that blonde.
STEVEN: [silently looking around the room to
find Vicky]
AMANDA: [looks over Matt’s shoulder and
looks at Steven and searches the room]
Where is she?
Matt:
[turning around and looking where Amanda is looking] Who?
JOE: [sitting beside Steven] The blonde
CARL: [coming into the room] Well, it appears
that she has left the premises.
AMANDA: [getting hysterical] She followed Jake.
She is going to get my daughter
killed. [Matthew chasing after her into the foyer]
MATTHEW: [grabbing ahold of both her arms]
Amanda. . . Amanda! Listen to me, Jake
will find her. As much as I hate that guy, Jake will find her.
Sometimes, I think that is
the only thing he cares about in the world. He will not let
anyone hurt Allie.
AMANDA: [in between crying and nodding her head]
He does. . . He does love her,
doesn’t he? [pulling away from Matt]
MATTHEW: He does. He loves you too, in his own
way.
FADE OUT: Amanda moves to the window near the door and stares out
in the night, as
Matthew stays in the background looking concerned for his sister.
SCENE 31
FADE IN: Racheal is looking in her jewelry box for a significant
peice that she took off
as Carl enters the room.
CARL:
[walking in the room with his hands in his pant pockets] Looking
for something,
my love.
RACHEL: [turning around a looking at Carl] Yes.
The ring that you gave me for our
anniversary. Have you seen it?
CARL: [walking to Racheal’s side] The one
with the initials engraved in it.
RACHEL: [looking at Carl’s face] Yes, that’s
the one. Have you seen it?
CARL: No, love. I am sure it will turn up
sometime. Right now, Amanda needs your
support more than you need to search for that ring.
RACHEL: [grabbing his hand] Is Jake back with
Allie yet?
CARL: No. No, I am afraid not! And it seems that
he may have been followed.
RACHEL: By whom
CARL: The lady with the child, Victoria I
believe.
FADE OUT: Carl and Racheal head out of the room and downstairs,
as Racheal turns out
the light.
SCENE 31
FADE IN: Jake is quietly leaving Allie by the train tressle and
walks under the bridge and
disappears into the shadows of night.
VICKY: [coming out of hiding and walking to see
if Allie is o.k] Where is he going?
[bending down to check on Allie] Little girl. . . [lightly
shaking her] Little girl . . .
JAKE: [circled around in the bushes and
darkness]
VICKY: [unaware of Jake’s move] Little girl
. . . [hand clamped over her mouth]
JAKE: [holding Vicky’s right arm behind her
back and one his hands clamped over her
mouth] Who do you. . .
VICKY: [elbowing Jake in the stomach] JAKE!
[starting to run away from the person
who grabbed her]
JAKE: [bent over trying to catch his breath]
You. . . You . . . What are you doing here?
[standing up with his breath back in his lungs]
VICKY: [surprised that Jake grabbed her] Why did
you sneak up on me like that?
JAKE: [getting angry at her] Me? What are you
doing here? You could have gotten all of
us killed. Especially the girl!
VICKY: [getting defensive] If I was the cause of
this, then I am going to make damn sure
that girl arrived safely back to her mother.
JAKE: [waving his hands in gestures] You could
have had her killed!
VICKY: [looking at Jake and then to Allie] Is
she yours?
JAKE: [surprised and about to answer]
ALLIE: [still groggy] Jake . . .
JAKE: [moving aside Vicky and heading for Allie]
We got to get her out of here, and
back to her mother, before she catches her death in the rain.
FADE OUT: Jake has Allie in her arms and Vicky follows Jake back
to the car.
SCENE 32
FADE IN: Back to the mystery man apartment as the man opens up
the door and flicks on
the light and throws his keys on the desk. He notices his bedroom
door open, and quietly
creeps up to see if anyone is there. He slowly pushes the door
completely open and looks
to the person on the bed and smiles devilishly.
MYSTERY MAN: [smiling and leaning on the door
frame, the camera is shooting him
from the back] Well, it is about time that you came around.
MARLEY: [smiling and laying seductively on the bed] Is
it done!
MYSTERY MAN: It’s done! [walking to the bed
and sitting] You were right about
Mckinnon! He seems to have a soft spot for that little girl, and
your sister seems to not
listen very well.
MARLEY: That my dear, is why I cannot stand the
little. . .
MYSTERY MAN: [takes on hand and puts it behind
her neck and bring her lips to his]
FADE OUT: Marley lays on her back and the man follows suit as we
finally see the face
of one of the mystery men. . . Ryan!!!
