Romance Never Dies Part 2

Scene 3

Jake and Vicky are downstairs in the kitchen trying to make breakfast. Vicky has flour all over her face and clothes and is making an absolute mess.

Jake: Vicky! What are you doing?
Vicky: What does it look like? I'm making muffins!
Jake: Yeah, but you aren't supposed to end up wearing the ingredients! (Takes his hand and wipes some flour from her cheek.)
Vicky: I never said that I was a neat cook!
Jake: Who said anything about you being a cook?!
Vicky: Jake, you're asking for it!
Jake (In a taunting tone): Asking for what?
Vicky (grabbing a sack of flour): This! (She throws a handful of flour on him.)
Jake (wiping the flour from his face): Oh, it's war Vicky!

(Vicky runs out of the kitchen with a whisk in hand. Jake chases after her with the flour. Vicky runs over to the staircase and stops. Jake reaches into the sack of flour.)

Vicky: You wouldn't dare, McKinnon!
Jake: Oh, I wouldn't! (Jake reaches grabs a handful of flour and goes to throw it at Vicky. Vicky ducks, Jake throws the flour and hits Steven with it.)
Steven: Well, good morning to you too Jake!
Jake: Oh Steven...I'm...I'm..
Steven: Sorry. I know.
Vicky (laughing hysterically): I'm sorry Steven.
Steven: It's ok. So judging from the flour and the mess in the kitchen, I'm guessing that Mom tried to make breakfast. (Jake laughs and Vicky punches him in the arm.)
Vicky: I'm not that bad of a cook.
Jake (winks at Steven): No, not at all.

Scene 4

Jake, Vicky, Steven, and Kirkland are sitting at the table. They are all eating cereal. Vicky's burnt muffins are in the middle of the table.

Vicky: That is the last time that I make muffins.
Jake: Thank God! (Vicky gives him "the look.")
Vicky: Boys, Jake and I have something that we need to tell you. We are going to go on a second honeymoon. We haven't made any arrangements yet, but...
Jake (interrupting Vicky): Actually, we have. While you were in the shower, I made some phone calls. We leave tonight.
Vicky: Tonight?! We can't leave tonight. We haven't made any arrangements for the boys, and I haven't packed and...
Jake: I've taken care of everything. The boys are going to stay at the Gellars. (Steven and Kirk are very happy at that.) I already packed our things. I have the plane tickets. Made hotel reservations. Everything is all set up, so don't worry your pretty little head off. (Gives Vicky a peck on the cheek.) Now, boys, go put some clothes in your duffel bags and get dressed. (The boys head upstairs.)

Vicky (Getting up from her chair and sitting in Jake's lap): You are just unbelievable!
Jake: I know! (They kiss.)

Scene 5

Jake and Vicky are running around the house making sure they have everything they need.

(In the bedroom.)

Vicky: Gee Jake, I hope you packed me enough clothes. (Holding up a little suitcase.)
Jake: Well, I don't plan on you wearing much of them!
Vicky (smiling): Well, what about when we go out to dinner?
Jake: Good point. Grab a few dresses and I'll grab a few suits. (They run around the bedroom and throw their clothes into 2 suitbags and then run downstairs.)

(As they come down the stairs.)

Jake: I hope that's everything.
Vicky: It is. It is. C'mon. Let's go. We'll miss our plane if we don't leave now.

(Jake and Vicky run outside to the limo that's waiting in their driveway.)
