Hey this is Pickle Dill and i'm going to give you a brief history on the band, how we met, why our name was changed a million times, and why we are cool.
Ok for starters we all met at Catlettsburg Christian about 3 years ago. The first members were Matt Wiseman, Ibby Barber and Me Pickle Dill. At first we never really talked to each other, well at least i didn't talk to Matt and Ibby. They both came to me one day and asked me if I played drums, at that time I had been playing for like a month or so, not very long. I replied yes as you probably figured and we just figured it out that we would start a band. Later in the band process after 3 practices and no singer our friend Rodney Dunn offered his vocal talents for one practice. We never really told him about the next practices though. Ibby after a while of practices stopped calling Matt. Matt in return never talked to him and never told him our practices. So that left just me and Matt. We played without Ibby and Rodney and began to progress in a different musical style. A new sound was born a reggae hip hop hardcore punk ska alterno daze that baffled the fans around us. Later on in our career we played little places. We had no money so we couldn't afford the nice equipment like most bands (not like we have good equipment now). We managed just fine without it.
Now on to the subject of our name changing so much. We needed a name after a while of playing so I talked to some of my friends and Matt did to about getting us a name. My friend Dustin Hulett thought of the name The Coconut Monkeys and I thought it was great for our weird stylish music. We adapted that name but after a while Matt got sick of that fact that it was a goofy name and we couldn't be taken seriously, so we hunted out a new name. Struggling for a name through many months brought us to a name that we didn't really want but we used it just to be having a name, Spectical. We finally decided that name was stupid and we didn't like it so again struggling I threw up a name Hootinanny. We thought it was a Shindig rip off and a stupid name to begin with so we sat down and after many many names we decided to stick with LongShot! This will hopefully be our last band name.
