Tommy : How is she, Billy?

[Billy punches some keys and consults the device.]

Billy : She's in a deep sleep.

[Tommy stands up. Billy continues.]

Billy : But losing her Power Coin has caused her body to get very
        weak. And I'm afraid with her Power Coin missing, [a grim
        pause as he glances towards Tommy] there's never gonna be
        another Pink Ranger.

[Tommy shakes his head, upset.]

Alpha's voice : Ai-yi-yi-yi-yii!

[Billy looks over his shoulder towards Alpha, who is rocking his
 head in despair.]

Alpha : This -can't- be happening!

[Billy moves off-screen, possibly over to Alpha. Tommy sighs heavily
 and begins to address Zordon.]

Tommy : [upset] There's gotta be something we can do, Zordon.
        [sighs again] We can't lose Kimberly.

[He turns back towards the unconscious girl.]

 Tommy : [more softly] I can't lose her.
Zordon : Alpha. I want you to begin searching the computer for an
         alternate energy source. We may find something that can match
         the Power Coin.
 Alpha : [nods] Right away, Zordon.

[Alpha sets to work, sounding happier now that he has something
 positive to do. Adam suddenly steps into view, also facing Zordon.]

 Adam : [urgently] We also need to get our Zords up and running.
Rocky : [stepping up next to him] But how are we gonna do that with
        Zedd in control of the Falconzord?
Billy : And how long until he figures a way to use Ninjor's powers to
        charge a fleet of new Zords?
Tommy : [shaking head] We can't let Zedd win this fight.

[An almost imperceptible head-shake from Billy. Tommy kneels by
 Kimberly's side once more.]

Tommy : Kimberly's counting on us.

[Aisha touches Tommy's back supportively.]

[Cross up to an exterior shot of the Moon Palace. As Lord Zedd begins
 to speak, the scene crosses over to the Balcony. Lord Zedd and Rita
 are standing there, with Goldar and Rito behind them in the Chamber
 of Command. Baboo and Squatt are also present, but even further back
 and barely seen. Rita is horizontally resting her Wand on top of the
 Balcony railing, and Lord Zedd is holding his Staff.]

Lord Zedd : [with cold relish] -Well- then, she's counting on a bunch
            of -losers-, Tommy, because you and the rest of your
            cowering cohorts are going to be enslaved to me.

[Rita laughs during this speech. Rito adds his approval with a pleased
 "Yes!".]

  Rita : [sniffing uncomfortably] I can smell victory...already...ugh.
Goldar : Are you sure you're not just smelling Rito?
         [whacks Rito with sword]

[The evil couple turn around, gagging in disgust(Both : Ugh!). Rita
 has now removed her Wand from the Balcony railing.]

     Rito : Heyyy, whadaya mean? [sniffs armpit] I don't smell. I took
            a shower -last month-! HAHAHA!!!
   Goldar : [simultaneously] Uhhh!!!
Lord Zedd : Quiet, you two rejects! [calmly] Ahh...
     Rito : Huh?
Lord Zedd : Everything's going as planned.

[Rita chuckles in delight as Lord Zedd recaps the situation.]

Lord Zedd : I have Kimberly's Power Coin. Finster is working on a
            way to siphon off Ninjor's power, combine it with the
            Falconzord's technology, and bring our new Zords to
            life. Then all I'll need is six pilots to command them.
     Rito : [observantly] Just like the Power Rangers!
Lord Zedd : Yess, of course. The Power Rangers. Rito!
     Rito : [cringing] Yeah?

[But Lord Zedd is far from angry. Quite the opposite, in fact.]

Lord Zedd : [rather jovial] Being around me is really starting to
            -pay- off for you! You've -done- it again! [laughs]

[Rito sniggers and taps Goldar as if to say, "See?".]

   Goldar : [incredulous] Huh? He -has-?
Lord Zedd : Who better to pilot the new Zords than the Power Rangers
            -themselves-?
   Goldar : [growling sort of chuckle]
     Rito : [nodding in approval] Yeah!
     Rita : You've been hanging around my -brother- too long, Zeddy.
Lord Zedd : [annoyed] Think with your brain instead of your mouth,
            for a change!

[Rita fumes at this reproach.]

Lord Zedd : We'll force them to pilot our Zords by dangling the Pink
            Ranger's welfare in front of them.

[As Lord Zedd speaks, he leans over and teasingly strokes Rita's
 cheek. Rita angrily pushes him away.]

Lord Zedd : [excited] Then we'll make them destroy Angel Grove, and
            the WORLD shall surrender to me!!!
     Rito : Yeah, yeah, I like the way you think, Ed!
Lord Zedd : [clenching fist] YEAHHH!!!
     Rita : [dubiously] Oh, boy...

[Cross now to the Youth Center, where Tommy is taking out his anger on
 a punching bag, much as Jason once did in the aftermath of another
 crisis. Adam and Rocky are doing leg stretches nearby. They exchange
 troubled glances and walk over towards Tommy, who continues punching
 as they approach. The three of them have changed from their swimming
 costumes into workout clothes(naturally enough), demonstrating some
 passage of time since the initial Command Center scene.]

Tommy : [fiercely] Man! I'd just like to get my hands on Lord Zedd,
        just once! [another ferocious punch]
 Adam : [placating] Hey, take it easy, man. Kimberly's gonna be okay.
Rocky : Yeah, Zordon's looking for a way to help her right now.

[Tommy sighs, recalling traumatic memories.]

Tommy : I know what she's going through. You know, when Zedd took away
        my powers, -man-! I thought it was the end of everything.
 Adam : [insistently] But it -wasn't-. You bounced back, Tommy;
        Kimberly will, too.

[Rocky nods. As Adam speaks, Kat can be seen entering the room through
 the doorway behind Tommy. After briefly looking around, apparently
 for someone in particular, she starts walking over towards the three
 Rangers. She has changed her clothes and hairstyle between the end of
 the last episode and this scene.]

Tommy : [grim] I'd just like to find out how Zedd managed to steal her
        Power Coin.

[Kat has now reached them.]

Kat : [smiling] Hi, guys.

[Tommy turns, slightly startled. Adam returns Kat's smile.]

Rocky : Hey, Kat.
  Kat : [looking around and putting on a show of confusion] Has anyone
        seen Kimberly? I was supposed to meet her for lunch.

[An awkward pause. Rocky frowns.]

 Adam : [diplomatically] Ah...I think she's busy right now.
  Kat : [with just the right tone of regret] Guess I'll be eating
        alone then. Unless any of you are free? [eagerly] Tommy?
Tommy : Ah, I'm sorry Kat, not today.
  Kat : Maybe next time. [insincerely] Hope Kimberly shows up.

[With a rueful smile she turns and walks back the way she came. Tommy
 looks down, troubled again. Adam and Rocky exchange worried looks, no
 doubt thinking of Kimberly. From the doorway, Kat turns and glares in
 their direction. Once again the evil/jealous red light flashes in her
 eyes before she walks away.]

[Lord Zedd is up on the Moon Palace Balcony, silently staring down
 at the Earth. Rita approaches the threshold of the Balcony and
 begins to interrogate him.]

     Rita : Okay, Zeddy. Just HOW are you gonna use the Pink Ranger's
            condition to force those rainbow coloured rejects to be
            our own personal fighter pilots?
Lord Zedd : [turning] Patience, my little walnut. Just sit back and
            be -awestruck-, as you watch my ingenious plan unfold!
     Rita : [simultaneously] Uh..
Lord Zedd : Those Power Rangers won't know what hit them. Let's sink
            our teeth into it. Behold, Fangenstein! (US - Let the
            games continue with the Incisorator!)

[Lord Zedd raises his Staff; it glows with power and unleashes a white
 bolt of lightning. Cross now to the park, where a young couple are
 happily walking. A growling sort of voice suddenly calls to them.]

Voice : Greetings, youngsters!

[A monster, Fangenstein, drops down in front of them. He is a rather
 grosteque two-headed creature, but not in the classic sense of the
 word. His first head is large and scaly, reminiscent of a crocodile,
 possessing orange eyes and four sharp pointed teeth. His second, much
 smaller head protrudes from the middle of the "crocodile" mouth and
 has something of a demonic appearance. Fangenstein wears an elaborate
 cloak and wields a clawed sceptre topped with a red orb. His body(or
 body suit), what can be seen of it beneath the cloak, is orange and
 muscular.]

Fangenstein : Care to come with me for a little -bite-?

[Said youngsters scream and flee in terror.]

Fangenstein : I guess they weren't hungry. I'll just have to find some
              -other- victims, I mean "guests".

[Cross now to an exterior shot of the Command Center, and then to one
 of Kimberly lying unconscious inside. Alpha is working at a console
 nearby.]

 Alpha : Ai-yi-yi; I'm so -nervous-. All the silicon is sweating out
         of my central processor!
Zordon : You must stay calm, Alpha. Kimberly's life -depends- on it.
         Have you found a substitute power source for her yet?
 Alpha : [worried] Not yet, Zordon.

[The Alarm suddenly goes off, startling him.]

 Alpha : Ai-yi-yi-yi-yi! What's -this-?
Zordon : Behold the Viewing Globe, Alpha.

[Alpha hurries over to the Viewing Globe. It shows Fangenstein
 terrorising people in the park.]

 Alpha : One of Zedd's monsters is running amuck in the park!
Zordon : Alert the Rangers, Alpha.

[Back in the Youth Center, Tommy, Rocky and Adam are packing up at the
 end of their workout. Adam picks up Rocky's bag and hands it to him.
 Billy and Aisha are just coming to join them(also having changed
 clothes), when a communicator sounds. Tommy, Rocky, and Adam walk out
 into the locker corridor, carrying their gear. After checking to see
 that the coast is clear, Tommy drops his bag and activates his
 communicator.]

 Tommy : [to communicator, quickly] We read you, Zordon, come in.
Zordon : [via communicator] One of Zedd's monsters is terrorising
         Angel Grove Park.
 Tommy : [to communicator] We're on our way.

[Tommy nods. Adam and Rocky drop their bags. All five reach for
 their Morphers.]

Tommy : It's Morphin' Time!

[The Morphing Sequence begins.]

Tommy : White Ranger Power! [morphs into the White Ranger]
 Adam : Black Ranger Power! [morphs into the Black Ranger]
Billy : Blue Ranger Power! [morphs into the Blue Ranger]
Aisha : Yellow Ranger Power! [morphs into the Yellow Ranger]
Rocky : Red Ranger Power! [morphs into the Red Ranger]

[At the park, the five of them are shown individually arriving in this
 order: White, Red, Blue, Black, Yellow. They land with their backs to
 a growling Fangenstein and turn to confront him. The formation(from
 left to right) goes: Yellow, Blue, White, Red, Black.]

 Fangenstein : Ahh! I cursed my fate and I have a nibble. Ah.
  Red Ranger : Okay, smiley, that's it. We're sending you packing!
White Ranger : Yeah! I suggest you put on a mouth-guard, pal!
 Fangenstein : Oh dear, how you Rangers like to chew the -fat-; I'd
               rather have some action!

[Fangenstein charges at the Rangers, who respond in kind, and battle
 is joined. With a roar, Fangenstein swirls his cloak at the heads of
 the Red and Blue Rangers. The Blue Ranger quickly ducks, but the Red
 Ranger is struck and reels back. Both of them withdraw as the White
 Ranger tackles the monster head-on. Fangenstein responds to the White
 Ranger's attempted kick by whipping his cloak again. This attack
 repels both the White Ranger and the newly-recovered Red Ranger.]

Fangenstein : [fiercely] There's MORE than you can CHEW!!!

[The Rangers withdraw to their defensive line and go into battle
 stance.]

White Ranger : Let's chew him up and spit him out!
  Red Ranger : Yeah.
Black Ranger : You got it.
 Fangenstein : [swirling cloak menacingly] I'm -chomping- at the bit!

[The Blue and Yellow Rangers spring towards Fangenstein. Fangenstein
 sweeps his sceptre and knocks them both out of the air. Upon landing,
 the two of them quickly turn around, crouched, to face their foe.]

[The Red and Black Rangers leap to the attack, the former preparing
 to kick, the latter attempting a double-fisted punch. Fangenstein
 blocks and repels them with contemptuous ease, sending both Rangers
 rolling back towards their leader.]

White Ranger : Guys, are you okay?

[The Black Ranger pulls himself up onto one foot and one knee. The
 Red Ranger stays down, pounding his hand against the grass in
 frustration.]

White Ranger : You rest here. I'll take care of 'im!

[The White Ranger charges and kicks at Fangenstein, who neatly steps
 aside. He turns and executes a spin-kick, which Fangenstein ducks,
 and a front-kick, which Fangenstein blocks. By now the Blue and
 Yellow Rangers have regained their feet. They can be seen in the
 background watching but not intervening in the fight.]

[The White Ranger spin-kicks at Fangenstein once more. As Fangenstein
 ducks, the Red Ranger can be seen standing in the background. The
 White Ranger's foot lashes out a fifth time, with about as much
 success as the other four. Shifting tactics he swings at Fangenstein,
 who blocks his arm and forces him back.]

[Fangenstein flaps his cloak at the White Ranger and begins to advance
 on his disoriented opponent. The Black Ranger comes forward to lend a
 hand, but Fangenstein easily knocks him back. All of a sudden he jabs
 his sceptre into the White Ranger's chest, knocking him through the
 air and onto his back near the Yellow and Blue Rangers.]

Fangenstein : [indistinct] Perfect.

[The White Ranger quickly draws himself up into a defiant crouch
 stance.]

[The Red and Black Rangers rapidly step into place behind Fangenstein,
 providing the potential for a two-front assault. He flashes a quick
 look at them as he speaks, but the derision in his voice shows that
 he thinks little of their threat.]

 Fangenstein : Had enough, you -pathetic- Power pinheads?
White Ranger : [pulls himself upright] No, you saw-toothed slime! We
               won't be through until we -extract- you from this
               planet! Hah!

[Cross up to Lord Zedd and Rito watching from the Palace Balcony.]

Lord Zedd : I -love- watching those addled adolescents get polished
            off!
     Rito : [leaning arm on Lord Zedd] You do good work, Ed.
            [gives thumbs up]

[Both of them turn towards Rita, who is approaching from their right.]

Lord Zedd : [to Rito] Ooh!!! Don't you understand, it's-
     Rita : [finishing] It's -Zedd-!! Now move out of the way, ya
            big lug!

[She shoves Rito out of the way(Rito : Hey! Aargh!!).]

     Rita : -I- want to see! [takes Rito's place, smiling]
Lord Zedd : Now, my prickly pear, while Fangenstein is -flossing- the
            Rangers, it's time for you to summon Kimberly's feline
            friend. (US - While the Power Rangers are busy with the
            Incisorator, it's time for YOU to call upon your feline
            friend.)
     Rita : Yes; and lure the Pink Ranger out. I -knew- that kitty
            would come in handy! [cackles]
Lord Zedd : [clenching fist] Am I terrific, or am I terrific? Little
            Ranger, catnap time is over!

[Over in the Command Center, Kimberly finally rouses herself. As she
 blearily sits up the pink charges disappear from her body, indicating
 a temporary respite from her malady. Stepping forward, she notes the
 battle on the Viewing Globe: Fangenstein fighting off the Rangers,
 who are now attacking him together.]

Kimberly : [worried/fatigued] What's going on? [turns around]
   Alpha : [turning around, startled] Uh, wh- Kimberly! You're awake!
  Zordon : The other Rangers are battling Zedd's monster in the park,
           but-

[Zordon is interrupted by the Command Center Alarm.]

 Alpha : Ai-yi-yi-yi-yi! Zordon, more -trouble-!
Zordon : Bring it up on the Viewing Globe, Alpha.

[Kimberly looks back at the Viewing Globe, which now shows a seemingly
 panicky Kat surrounded by Tengas out in the mountains.]

Kimberly : [worried] Oh no. Tengas have Katherine. [turns] I have to
           help her, Zordon.
  Zordon : No, Kimberly. You will have to let the other Rangers save
           Katherine when and -if- they can. You are much too weak.
           Until we find an alternative power source for you, any
           exertion could destroy you.

[Kimberly stares at the Viewing Globe, visibly upset. Kat's apparent
 distress continues unchecked, and that is enough to decide her.]

Kimberly : [quiet but firm] That's it. [to Zordon] She's my friend, I
           -have- to go help her.
  Zordon : Kimberly. You -must- let the other Rangers handle this.
Kimberly : Katherine can't wait.
  Zordon : Are you -sure- you understand the risk?
Kimberly : Yes. [pause] I guess that's the chance I'll have to take.
  Zordon : [acquiescing] You are a -true- Power Ranger. Have a safe
           journey, and may you return unharmed.
Kimberly : Thanks, Zordon. Alpha, please teleport me there so I can
           conserve energy.
   Alpha : Of -course-, Kimberly. [activates an off-screen control]
Kimberly : Thank you. Ninja Ranger Power!

[Kimberly swirls her right arm around, accompanied by pink energy, and
 brings her hands together to begin the Ninja Morphing Sequence. She
 transforms into the Pink Ninja and appears out in the mountains(Pink
 Ninja : Hyah!). The Tengas turn to face her.]

     Tenga : Huh?
Pink Ninja : Hey, you featherdusters! Let her go or prepare to be
             fricaseed! [bunches fist]

[The Tengas start to advance upon her, cawing menacingly.]

Pink Ninja : Just try me. Hyah!

[Kat calmly walks away as the battle begins...]

[The Pink Ninja charges and kicks at one Tenga, then kicks at another
 and takes it down. A third Tenga throws itself upon her, latching on
 to her arm. She drags the creature forward, trying to free herself
 from its grip.]

[Kat takes cover behind a bush. Her worried expression fades, replaced
 by a pleased smile.]

[Still restrained, the Pink Ninja kicks out at another Tenga, without
 success. She throws off the restrictive bird, flips away from a
 second, and trips up a third with a low sweeping kick.]

[Kat watches in satisfaction; everything is going according to plan.]

[Cross now to the pavement in front of the outdoors cafe. Lt Stone
 is pacing back and forth past Bulk and Skull, who are dressed in
 regular police uniform again.]

Lt Stone : [spitting out the words] Gentlemen; your latest stunt at
           Angel Grove Lake...has elevated...ineptitude...to NEW
           HEIGHTS!

[Skull nods and grins, very proud of this accomplishment.]

    Bulk : [uncomfortably] But Lieutenant, you see we can explain.
           We were just-
Lt Stone : [snapping in Bulk's face] QUIET, BULKMEIER!

[Skull quickly loses his grin. He turns towards Lt Stone, looking
 somewhat bewildered - wasn't he complimenting them just a moment
 ago? Bulk pulls himself up into a ramrod stance.]

Lt Stone : [angrily] I'VE HEARD ALL THE EXCUSES! I find it very odd
           that YOU TWO are the only ones in ANGEL GROVE, outside of
           the Power Rangers, to face off with a different monster
           EVERY WEEK!
   Skull : [blase] Lt Stone; it's true!

[Lt Stone shifts his glare from Bulk to Skull. His eyes narrow. Bulk
 also snaps his head in that direction, probably hoping that Skull
 will shut up before he does too much damage. A vain hope...]

Skull : Every time we turn around, why [blows raspberry and indicates
        forward with his hand] there they are.

[Lt Stone approaches Skull smiling. Rarely a good sign...]

Lt Stone : [dangerously casual] Oh...you're monster bait. Is that it?

[Skull grins and nods whilst Lt Stone chuckles to himself. Skull
 chuckles back, it's all so happy and friendly...]

Lt Stone : [snapping in Skull's face] Yeah, well I don't buy it!

[He starts to pace again, fixing both officers with a baleful glare.]

Lt Stone : Now I'm giving you both...24 hours...to produce a
           -monster-...and this time...I'm going with ya.
    Bulk : [casually] I can dig that.
   Skull : [muttering] Tag along...
Lt Stone : [turns, between clenched teeth] -What- did you say?

[Skull shrugs his head towards Bulk. There is a pause. And then...]

Bulk & Skull : YES, SIR!!!

[The unexpected ferocity of these words causes Lt Stone to recoil, as
 if facing the onslaught of a gale. His cap goes flying and his tie is
 blown back over his shoulder.]

[In the mountains, a tiring Pink Ninja spins back holding her chest,
 and finds herself surrounded by evil birds. She dodges a kick from
 one and smashes her foot into another, knocking it away. However,
 the battle has worn her down, and she fails to avoid a kick from a
 third Tenga. She flails wildly at its head(the Tenga ducks) and then
 tries to flip the creature, without success. The Tenga startles her
 by grabbing her foot and throwing her down. She slowly stands up but
 it is obvious that her meagre energy reserve has been exhausted.]

Pink Ninja : [weakly] Uh! Kat...sorry...

[She collapses painfully, face-first. This provokes an unexpected
 response from Kat.]

Kat : [suddenly concerned] Kimberly!

[The Tengas close in and tentatively prod at the prone Ninja. Goldar
 arrives from a burst of flame to take charge.]

Goldar : Good work, Tengas!

[One of the Tengas clenches a triumphant fist. The whole flock runs
 off, their mission complete.]

Goldar : The Pink Ranger belongs to -us-!

[Kat watches from beside the bush as Goldar closes in. Her eyes glint
 and her expression hardens.]

[Viewed from above, Kimberly's Ninja robe disappears down to a point
 on her back and then dissipates in a series of energy spirals and
 "contour lines". A few last traces of pink energy travel through
 her body. Goldar steps up next to her.]

Goldar : My master is one step closer to success! And now, by
         enslaving the Power Rangers we'll control the universe!
   Kat : [sarcastically] Poor Kimberly. Tommy will miss you...
         [evilly] But I'm -sure- he'll get over it. [her eyes flash]
Goldar : [to Kimberly] Ranger bait, you're coming with me!

[Goldar runs his hand along his sword. His body is engulfed with a
 flame which also transfers to the unconscious Kimberly. Both vanish.]

[Back in the park, the five Rangers have just been thrown back. They
 all get up into crouch stances as Fangenstein comes into view.]

Fangenstein : To tell the tooth, it's time to indenture you all!

[He holds his sceptre aloft. The orb glows and zaps down the Rangers
 with a five-way pink blast. Crackling energy is visible on their
 suits for a brief moment. When it passes, they pick themselves up
 with an effort.]

White Ranger : [bitterly] We're not finished -yet-, -Fangface-!
 Fangenstein : Sorry, but you are. You see I have another appointment!

[Fangenstein swirls his cloak. Purple energy envelops his body and
 he vanishes from sight. The Red Ranger looks around in astonishment.]

   Red Ranger : Hey! He bolts when he has the upper hand? What gives?
 White Ranger : [gravely] I don't know, but this whole incident smells
                worse than a decaying cavity.
Yellow Ranger : Y'know, I think we'd better get back to the Command
                Center -now-.
 Black Ranger : I agree.
 White Ranger : Yeah. Let's do it!

[They touch the Power Coins on their belt buckles, raise their arms to
 the sky(Rangers : Power Up!), and teleport away. Bulk, Skull, and Lt
 Stone now come walking up to this very spot, having missed the action
 by seconds.]

Bulk : Right around here is where we see most of the monsters, sir.

[Bulk and Skull stand together, Lt Stone a short distance in front
 of them.]

    Bulk : Right, Skull?
   Skull : Right, Bulk.
Lt Stone : [looks around sceptically] I dunno, looks pretty peaceful
           around here to me. No unusual activity.

[Focus in on Bulk and Skull.]

Bulk : Just you wait, Lieutenant. [ominously] You'll see...

[Skull chuckles.]

[Cross to the Command Center, where a helmetless Tommy is addressing
 Zordon. The other Rangers(also without helmets) are standing behind
 him. When he finishes speaking he steps back into their midst. From
 left to right the Ranger positioning goes: Billy, Adam, Tommy, Aisha,
 Rocky.]

 Tommy : [bitterly] It was a trick. [steps back]
Zordon : I'm afraid so, Tommy. Zedd lured you into battle with
         Incisorator so you would not be able to help Kimberly.
         (US - Same.)
 Aisha : [confused] Why? He already has her Power Coin. What does he
         want with her now?
Zordon : I can't read Zedd's mind; his intentions are a mystery to me.
         The next move is his.
 Tommy : [troubled] Oh, man. This is unbelievable. First Zedd steals
         Kimberly's Power Coin, takes the Falconzord, then Ninjor
         disappears!
  Adam : And now Kimberly.
 Alpha : Ai-yi-yi-yi-yi! What's -this-, Rangers?
 Billy : What is it, Alpha?
 Alpha : My scanners indicate Lord Zedd has initiated the power
         infusion to the Ancient Zords! (US - My scanners indicate
         that Lord Zedd has initiated the power infusion to the
         Shogun Zords!
 Billy : [sighs] And with ours down...we're sitting ducks.

[Cross to an exterior shot of the Moon Palace.]

Lord Zedd's voice : Ah, Finster has finished powering up our Zords.
     Rita's voice : Zeddy!

[Cross now to Lord Zedd and Rita on the Balcony. Finster stands behind
 them. Lord Zedd mutters and turns to Rita.]

     Rita : I still don't understand -how- you're gonna get the
            Rangers to pilot them!
  Finster : Yes, your Lordship, -how-?
Lord Zedd : Ah, that is the most delicious part of my plan. To know
            the answer you must "think Pink". I'll explain. [turns
            away, raises hands, and shakes them in amusement] Oh-hoho!
            "Think Pink", oh, that's a good one!

[Cross to a dark cave lit by a lamp. The unconscious Kimberly is lying
 on a rotating table, atop an asterisk. Double bursts of pink energy
 are being drawn out of her head and into a machine.]

Lord Zedd's voice : As we speak, I'm draining the power out of the
                    Pink Ranger. Soon, she'll become completely
                    useless to anyone.

[The table continues to rotate...]

[Back in the park, Bulk, Skull, and Lt Stone suddenly peer out from
 behind a bush. Bulk and Lt Stone are standing, Skull is crouched.
 Whatever the reason for this movement, it has evidently been a false
 alarm. Lt Stone checks his watch and sighs.]

Lt Stone : [irritably] We've been here practically the whole day, and
           the only unusual things that I've seen around here...are
           you two.

[Skull makes an annoyed "scoffing" motion with his head.]

Bulk : [desperately] Please, Lieutenant; something'll happen -soon-,
       [grabs Lt Stone's shoulder] you'll see!

[Skull scoffs again. Lt Stone notices the presence of Bulk's hand on
 his shoulder. Bulk brushes his hand away and hangs his head.]

Skull : [somewhat bitter] Yeah; you'll see.

["PC", Aisha's white cat, comes padding around the bush near Skull.]

Skull : [surprised] Hey! [picks her up] Hello, kitty-kitty.
        [chuckles happily]
 Bulk : [unimpressed] Hey. Will you put that cat down and quit messing
        around? Y'know, our future with the Junior Police Patrol is at
        stake here!

[During this exchange, Lt Stone has been looking around for monsters
 in the background. Upon seeing what his officers are discussing, he
 shakes his head in disgust and turns away. After giving her one last
 look, Skull puts PC down on the grass. She runs behind the bush and,
 with a crackle of golden energy, transforms into a crouched-over Kat.
 Kat straightens up and walks back around the bush. Skull, who is now
 looking in the other direction, turns and spots her.]

Kat : [teasingly] Hi, Skull.

[Her eyes flash red as she smiles at him.]

Skull : [grins and raises hand in greeting] Hey! [chuckle]
  Kat : [walking away] Ta-ta.

[Bulk has been arguing with Lt Stone in the background; neither of
 them have noticed this brief conversation.]

Lt Stone : [to Bulk] Well, for -your- sake, they had better show up,
           mister.

[Skull stands with his hand frozen in the wave position, the oddity
 of what has just happened starting to sink in. Confused, he mutters
 to himself and walks over towards Bulk and Lt Stone, pointing behind
 him with his thumb.]

Skull : [confused] Uhhh...huh.

[But Skull is left to ponder this one by himself. Lt Stone turns away
 from Bulk, shaking his head, and walks back towards the area that
 Skull has just vacated. Bulk follows closely.]

 Bulk : [fervently] Hey, Lieutenant. I'm telling you; strange things
        happen in this park, and we are always -right- in the middle
        of it! You'll see. [to Skull] Right?
Skull : [gives thumbs up, weird confused voice] Yeah!

[Lt Stone wearily shakes his head.]

[This unfortunate day is coming to an end, and afternoon shadows are
 starting to cover the Command Center. Inside, Aisha and Rocky are
 resting against one of the control panels, the Ranger helmets lying
 around them. Tommy walks past.]

Tommy : Have you been able to get a fix on Kimberly yet, Billy?

[A strange surge of electrical energy briefly fills the room. Tommy,
 Billy, Adam and Alpha look around, confused and a little disquieted.]

Billy : We're still trying, Tommy. [pushes button]

[An image of Lord Zedd sitting on his throne suddenly appears on the
 Viewing Globe.]

Lord Zedd : -Please-. Allow me to save you the trouble, Rangers.

[Adam, Alpha and Billy, who are poring over one of the control panels,
 now slowly straighten up in shock. Behind them, Tommy turns towards
 the Viewing Globe. A stunned Aisha and Rocky turn as well, followed
 by Adam, Alpha, and Billy.]

    Aisha : [worried] Oh, my gosh.
     Adam : [to Billy, tense] How'd he get in there?
    Billy : [troubled] I haven't got a clue.
Lord Zedd : Your precious Pink Ranger is here with -me-. I'm having a
            -wonderful- time, draining all the power out of her body.

[An upset Tommy stares at the Viewing Globe, his gaze unwavering.]

Lord Zedd : It's quite a spectator sport. By the end of today, she
            will no longer be in the pink; in fact, she'll be history!

[The Viewing Globe now shows Kimberly on the rotating table.]

Lord Zedd : [voiceover] See, she's already sleeping quite comfortably,
            which is nice work if you can get it.
   Zordon : [sternly] I demand that you release the Pink Ranger.
Lord Zedd : SILENCE! The only one making demands at this point is ME!
    Tommy : [tense/angry] What do you want?
Lord Zedd : Teleport me to your Command Center and I will tell you in
            -person-.
    Alpha : The Command Center is no place for the evil likes of
            -you-!

[Billy tilts his head slightly, in what could be interpreted as a
 "So what do you think of that?" motion.]

Lord Zedd : [fierce] Do it -now-, or recant your precious Kimberly!
    Tommy : Zordon, we don't have a choice. We have to. For Kimberly.
            [blinks several times]
   Zordon : I agree with your decision, Tommy. Alpha, you may proceed.

[Alpha turns and dejectedly begins the sequence which will summon Lord
 Zedd into his home. An ominous rumbling fills the room, causing the
 Command Center Alarm to shake. Under normal circumstances the warning
 device would be blaring, but it stays silent whilst this intrusion
 takes place. Tommy slowly turns towards it, fierce anger on his face.
 On top of the control panels, the Ranger helmets begin to quiver. A
 disquieted Aisha looks around and turns toward Rocky, whose unease
 mirrors her own.]

[There is a series of blinding spark-flashes which cause the Rangers
 to shield their eyes(first Billy and Adam, then Aisha and Rocky, and
 finally Tommy), signalling the arrival of Lord Zedd's throne. It now
 sits inside the Command Center a short distance from the main circle.
 White energy traces along the Z on the back of the throne, briefly
 illuminating it.]

[Tommy lowers his hands, followed by Billy and Adam, then Rocky and
 Aisha. He stares at the back of the stone chair, all that can be seen
 of their enemy at this point. It slowly turns around, revealing Lord
 Zedd in all his evil majesty.]

Lord Zedd : [chuckles] Greetings, my -friends-. Isn't anybody going to
            -ask- me how my trip was?
   Zordon : Get on with it, Zedd. While you sit there, Kimberly's life
            is ebbing away.

[Lord Zedd taps his fingers on the arm-rest of his throne, showing
 little inclination to hurry.]

Lord Zedd : [thoughtfully] Hmm...not a bad place. A little tacky. When
            I take over, I'll have my darling wife redecorate it!

[Billy, Adam and Tommy glare at him. Chuckling again, Lord Zedd leans
 forward on his throne.]

Lord Zedd : [taunting] Oh, -Alpha-? You can come out of -hiding-!

[Lord Zedd beckons mockingly, his fingers briefly crackling with
 energy. Alpha tentatively peeks up from behind one of the control
 panels, near Billy and Adam.]

Alpha : [nervously] I don't like you...Ed!

[Uh-oh, here's trouble.]

Lord Zedd : [furious] IT'S -ZEDD-, YOU BLINKING BUCKET OF BOLTS!
            LORD ZEDD!!!
    Tommy : [coldly] Get on with it, Zedd. What do you want?
Lord Zedd : [standing] All right, Power Rangers, -this- is your
            dilemma.

[Alpha cowers back down again. Lord Zedd descends his misty throne
 steps as he delivers his ultimatum.]

Lord Zedd : You agree to pilot my new fleet of Zords and do -all- my
            evil bidding, or, you can -refuse- my offer, in which case
            we can all sit around and have a jolly time watching the
            Pink Ranger -waste away-.

[Tommy continues to fix Lord Zedd with a hateful stare. Alpha's head
 re-emerges.]

   Zordon : I will -never- let you get away with this.
Lord Zedd : Save your breath, Zordon! -I'm- giving the commands around
            here. Now, I'll give you a -moment- to make your decision.

[The Rangers gather around Tommy, who seems almost unaware of them;
 for reasons past and present, this has become a highly personal
 vendetta.]

 Adam : Tommy, what do we do?
Billy : [firmly] We can't let anything happen to Kimberly. She's
        one of us.

[Tommy glances at them, but gives no other sign of acknowledgement.]

Lord Zedd : Tick-tock, tick-tock...

[And still Tommy is silent.]

Lord Zedd : Time is -up- now, heroes. Or should I say, -zeroes-??
            Ohh-oh, "zeroes", -that's- a good one.

[Tommy takes a step forward, barely holding himself in check.]

Lord Zedd : So now, what did you decide? I can't wait to hear it!

[Lord Zedd's fierce laughter resounds throughout the Command Center
 as the camera pans from Aisha to Rocky, Rocky to Billy, Billy to
 Adam, Adam to Tommy. Tommy turns toward his fellow Rangers for the
 briefest of moments and then back to Lord Zedd, finally about to
 speak.]
