Tommy : We'll pilot your Zords, Zedd.
Lord Zedd : Wise choice, -Rangers-!

[As Lord Zedd speaks, he returns to his throne. Angry, Tommy looks
 away a moment before resuming his silent glare.]

Lord Zedd : You will report for duty at dusk, with your new master;
            -me-. [sits down] Get ready for the ride of your -lives-!

[He laughs as the throne turns away.]

Lord Zedd : Hahahaha! Ah-ha! See ya! [laughs again]

[Electricity runs up and down the back of the throne. The Z insignia
 shines and the imperial seat vanishes in a puff of smoke.]

[Cross now to the cave where Kimberly is held, her energy slowly being
 drained in small, regular bursts. All of a sudden Kat materialises
 nearby via a feline teleportation effect. Arms folded, she approaches
 the rotating table and watches the other girl with bitter triumph.]

Kat : Hello, Kimberly. Sleeping -peacefully-? I wish it didn't have to
      be this way.

[The evil light shines in Kat's eyes. Helpless and unaware, Kimberly
 continues to spin. And then something unexpected happens - Kat closes
 her eyes and seems to be waging some kind of inner struggle. When she
 opens them again they are clear, the magical glow gone. Her gloating
 manner changes to one of genuine regret.]

Kat : I really do.

[The deadly table continues to turn...]

[Switch now to a much lighter shot of the Command Center exterior, a
 curiosity perhaps owing itself to the departure of Lord Zedd. Cross
 to the interior, which has also been freed of his oppressive shadow.
 Tommy approaches the other four Rangers, who are crowded around a
 control panel where Billy is working.]

 Tommy : How's it coming, guys?
  Adam : Still searching.
 Billy : If I can get a lock on Kimberly and teleport her back to the
         Command Center, then Zedd's plan's gonna be ineffective.
 Aisha : Zordon, what happens to her powers after we find her?
Zordon : Alpha is working on a way to detach her physical connection
         from her Power Coin, but I'm afraid that as long as Rita and
         Zedd possess the Power Coin, they hold the fate of the Pink
         Ranger.
 Tommy : We'll deal with that later. [sighs and turns away, upset]
         The important thing is to get Kim back...

[A single beep is heard. Tommy looks back hopefully and returns to the
 others.]

Billy : [excited] I've located her!

[Aisha and Adam smile.]

Rocky : [quickly] Where -is- she?
Billy : She's being held in one of Zedd's dark dimensions. I've got
        the co-ordinates locked into the computer.
Aisha : Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get her out of there!
Billy : [sighs and straightens up] I'm afraid it's not that easy,
        Aisha. [turns to face others] She's being held in a dimension
        that's beyond our reach.

[Tommy turns away, sighing in frustration(Tommy : Ohh, man.) and then
 turns back, having just thought of something.]

Tommy : Wait a minute. If we can't get in through the -front- door...
        there's always the back door.
Billy : [thoughtfully] The Portal-Com. I used it once when you were
        stuck in Zedd's dimension.
Tommy : -Exactly-. An alternate doorway.
Billy : [quickly] It's definitely worth a try. The device is back at
        my lab. I'll go get it.
Tommy : [urgently] Okay. [glances at communicator] We only have a
        couple hours till dusk. We gotta move fast!

[Billy nods and moves off-screen, followed by Aisha.]

Tommy : [sighs] Just hold on, Kim. [sighs again and leaves]

[Cross over to the park, where Bulk, Skull, and Lt Stone, exhausted by
 their lengthy vigil, have fallen asleep by a bush. In the background,
 Tommy, Adam, Aisha and Rocky arrive to meet Billy, who is setting up
 the Portal-Com. Each Ranger is now demorphed.]

[The name "Portal-Com" refers to a pair of blue stations which support
 laser-like devices. These "lasers" are aimed at the area between the
 two structures, and the whole setup is reminiscent of the Molecular
 Decoders used during "The Green Candle".]

Billy : [sets second station upright] Hey, guys. I'm almost ready.

[As Billy continues to speak, he approaches the first station(which is
 already standing), makes some adjustments, and then walks back to the
 other Rangers.]

Billy : I've already set the co-ordinates on the Portal-Com. So, as
        soon as I activate it, the dimensional door is gonna open.
Tommy : [pleased] All right. Good job, Billy.
Billy : And remember, Tommy; the door is only gonna stay open for a
        limited time.
Tommy : I know.

[Billy pushes a button on a hand-held controller unit.]

Aisha : Good luck, Tommy.
Tommy : Thanks.

[Aisha smiles. Rocky nods to Tommy, echoing her sentiment. Adam says
 nothing, troubled. Tommy looks at Billy for a moment and then takes
 his place in front of the Portal-Com. Billy turns in that direction
 and activates the controller unit. The Portal-Com "lasers" shoot
 purple energy streams, creating a portal of the same colour between
 them; Tommy steps through it and vanishes from sight. Bulk, Skull,
 and Lt Stone continue to snooze in the foreground.]

[Cross now to an exterior shot of the Moon Palace. Inside, all of the
 villains are present, and a merry celebration is taking place. Squatt
 is wearing a sombrero, and Lord Zedd is dancing with a ukelele in his
 hand. The following words can be heard over the general ruckus.]

   Goldar : Oh, yeesss!!!
     Rito : Ohh, baby!
   Goldar : All right, all right! Three cheers for Lord Zedd!
     Rita : [simultaneously] Ai-yi-yi!!
Lord Zedd : [walks to Balcony] Ah, stunning!

[He laughs and starts playing the ukelele. As he does so, red energy
 flows around his hand(Lord Zedd : Ah-ha! Ohh, ah-ya-ya-ya-yahh! Oh,
 yeah.)]

Lord Zedd : I'd better check on the Power Rangers, just in case. Their
            giving in to me so quickly makes me a little uneasy.

[He scans over the edge with his red sight.]

Lord Zedd : Hm! What?! THEY'RE TRYING TO RESCUE KIMBERLY?! I knew it!
            TENGAS, -DESTROY- THEM!! [furiously swings ukelele]

[A flock of Tengas swoops down to the park. The resulting noise alerts
 the four Rangers.]

Rocky : What's that?

[He and the others move to investigate. The Tengas land and surround
 them. The Rangers take a moment to assess the situation, and then...]

Billy : Ninja Ranger Power now!!

[The four of them swirl their right arms, highlighted by the relevant
 colour for each, and join their hands to initiate the Ninja Morphing
 Sequence. Rocky transforms into the Red Ninja; Aisha transforms into
 the Yellow Ninja; Adam transforms into the Black Ninja; Billy
 transforms into the Blue Ninja.]

[The five Ninjas are then shown leaping down through the air in this
 order: Blue, Red, Yellow, Black. Melee begins...]

[The Blue Ninja spin-kicks a mostly off-screen Tenga and front-kicks
 another. The Red Ninja can be seen fighting nearby.]

[A group of five Tengas is approaching the Yellow Ninja. She holds out
 both hands and adopts the voice and mannerisms of an aeorobics/dance
 instructor. The Tengas halt and begin to dance...]

Yellow Ninja : [chanting] Okay Tengas, it's time to get -down-. Hey!
               Go bird, go bird! Hey Tengas, come on, -shake- your
               tails! Whoo. [clapping hands] All right! All right!
               Get down, get down...

[Four of the Tengas come closer, drawn by the motions of the Yellow
 Ninja. The fifth stays where it is, still dancing.]

Yellow Ninja : I said, get DOWN!

[As she throws up her arms, the four Tengas flip over backwards. The
 fifth dances for a bit longer and then stops.]

[The Black Ninja flips awkwardly and lies on the grass in a seemingly
 stricken pose. Two Tengas close in. They jump off the ground and leap
 at him, feet outstretched to kick.]

Black Ninja : Need a -hand-?

[The Black Ninja reaches for the ground behind his head and propels
 himself into a crouched position. He brings his hands together. The
 Tengas land upon a curious black surface and look around, cawing in
 bewilderment.]

Black Ninja's voice : [from above] Hey, Tengas!

[The startled birds look up in horror at their now giant-sized foe,
 upon whose left hand they are standing.]

Black Ninja : [wagging finger] You're making entirely too much noise.

[He seizes the hapless Tengas in his right hand, silencing them.]

Black Ninja : Well, that's better. -Now- what should I do with them?

[He brings his right fist up to his ear and shakes the Tengas like
 a pair of dice.]

Black Ninja : [amused] Oh, why didn't you say so?

[The Black Ninja throws the Tengas from his giant hand. They crash to
 the ground, one landing on its back, the other landing face-down. The
 former starts writhing vigorously.]

[Over in the dark cave, Tommy appears from a dimensional ripple. After
 taking a moment to get his bearings, he notices the rotating table
 where Kimberly is imprisoned. Wasting no time, he hurries to her
 side.]

Tommy : [sighs] Kimberly.

[Tommy examines the draining device; focus in on the control panel.
 Notable upon its display is a row of six lights. The first and third
 look white, the second a faint green, the fourth yellow, the fifth
 pink, and the sixth blue. The pink light shines brightly.]

    Tommy : [to Kimberly] I'm gonna get you out of here.
Lord Zedd : [from behind] WRONG, RANGER!!!

[Tommy whirls around to face Lord Zedd, who has been waiting for him.]

Lord Zedd : -You- tried to double-cross me. Now, you and your precious
            Pink princess will perish TOGETHER!!! Ah-hahahahahaa!!

[Tommy tenses, preparing himself for combat.]

Tommy : [forcefully] Back off, Zedd! I'm getting Kimberly outta here.
        [reaches for Morpher] It's Morphin' Time!

[The Morphing Sequence begins.]

Tommy : White Ranger Power! [morphs into the White Ranger]

[The White Ranger goes into a rather extravagant battle stance(White
 Ranger : Uh-ah! Huh! Tsik! Uhh!).]

White Ranger : Okay, Zedd! I'm ready for ya.
   Lord Zedd : [angrily] I'm far more powerful than you could -ever-
               handle, White Ranger!!!
White Ranger : Huh! We'll just have to -see- about that, now won't we?
               Huh!

[The combatants get into position.]

Lord Zedd : Are those "hai-yahs" really necessary? Here, I'll do some.
            Whoa, whoa, come and get me.

[The White Ranger opens the battle with a spin-kick. Lord Zedd deftly
 blocks it with his Staff.]

Lord Zedd : Ha! Ah, you missed me!

[This time, the White Ranger tries to land a punch. Lord Zedd blocks
 again, switches his Staff from left hand to right, and retaliates
 with a quick strike of his own(Lord Zedd : Here!). The White Ranger
 doubles over and stumbles back, but quickly recovers.]

White Ranger : Huh! Is that the -best- you can do?
   Lord Zedd : [enraged] YOU'RE going to be sorry you said that!!

[As the White Ranger prepares for another attack, Lord Zedd closes in
 and deals him a vicious blow to the chest with the Z at the end of
 his Staff. The impact causes an explosion of sparks and knocks the
 White Ranger onto his back. Lord Zedd steps closer, only his legs
 showing in the foreground.]

Lord Zedd : Wait till I tell your Pink friend how much courage you had
            at the end!

[The White Ranger pulls himself back up, catching his breath. Without
 moving, Lord Zedd zaps him with a concentrated stream of white energy
 from his Staff(Lord Zedd : Here! Hahaha!). Two bright yellow flashes
 flare up as this assault hits home. Reeling, the White Ranger is
 powerless to avoid a second blast. A third yellow flash is produced
 as the energy rips into his body, and he cries out in pain as he is
 thrown back to the ground. With an effort, he stumbles to his feet.]

White Ranger : [defiantly] It doesn't matter what happens to me, Zedd.
               Kimberly and I may not get outta here, but you'll
               -never- be allowed to win! [goes into battle stance]

[Back in the park, a couple of forgotten Tengas are loitering near the
 Portal-Com. As the first Tenga speaks, there is a brief separate shot
 of the second Portal-Com station.]

Tenga #1 : Do you know what this is? Huh?
Tenga #2 : No! Let's -destroy- it!
Tenga #1 : Yeah!

[Both of them close in on the Portal-Com. Nearby, the Red Ninja kicks
 at another Tenga. It ducks under the blow.]

Tenga #1 : How should we destroy it?
Tenga #2 : Let's knock it over!

[They knock over the first Portal-Com station, causing it to short out
 and the red "laser" tip to break. The purple stream is cut off, thus
 closing the off-screen portal(presumably). Just then, the Black and
 Red Ninjas spot the Tengas, now kicking and punching the fallen
 station.]

Red Ninja : Hey! Cut it out!

[One of the Tengas mockingly thumbs the sides of its face. The other
 gives the Portal-Com station a last defiant kick. Both birds teleport
 away. The Red and Black Ninjas run over to inspect the damage.]

  Red Ninja : [angrily] HAH!!
Black Ninja : [picks up broken section] Huh! Those rotten Tengas!

[The remaining Tengas retreat from the Yellow and Blue Ninjas, one of
 them stumbling in the process. They jump into the air(two of them
 shown individually) and fly away.]

Yellow Ninja : Rats! They got away again.

[The Tengas flap away, watched by the Blue and Yellow Ninjas.]

 Red Ninja : Hey guys, come here!
Blue Ninja : [quickly] Yeah.

[The Yellow and Blue Ninjas run back to the damaged Portal-Com. The
 knocked-over station has been set upright again.]

Red Ninja : [indicating damaged station] Courtesy of the Tengas!

[The Yellow Ninja brings her hand to her mouth and audibly exhales.]

Black Ninja : Hey, I found these! [hands broken piece to Blue Ninja]
              Can you fix it?
 Blue Ninja : I don't know. I'll have to see how much damage is done.
              [moves to inspect Portal-Com]

[Rita has been watching all of this through her telescope. Finster is
 sweeping nearby, humming to himself as he works. No-one else is in
 sight.]

   Rita : Drat! The Power Brats beat the Tengas, and Zedd is busy
          with the White Ranger! Finster!
Finster : [stops sweeping] Yes?
   Rita : I need a monster, pronto!
Finster : [cautiously] Uh, shouldn't you wait for Lord Zedd?
   Rita : [offended] What am I, some kind of -loser-? I used to run
          this place all by mySELF, in case you forgot!
Finster : [humbly] Oh, I apologise. I'll get right to it. In fact, I
          have the -perfect- monster to keep an eye on them.

[Cross back to the park, focusing on the Red Ninja.]

Red Ninja : They've -gotta- get Tommy and Kimberly back!

[The Blue Ninja stands up from his place near one of the Portal-Com
 stations.]

Blue Ninja : I adjusted the co-ordinate control mechanism. It should
             work.

[The Yellow Ninja is standing at the other station, with the Black
 Ninja crouched near its base.]

Yellow Ninja : [sighs] I hope so. It's almost dusk. If they don't come
               back -now-, we'll be taking orders from Lord Zedd.
 Black Ninja : Billy. [stands up] Is there any way to gain control of
               the Zords once we're in the cockpits?
  Blue Ninja : [pacing] Well I might be able to reprogram them off our
               Power Coins, which would transfer control to us. But if
               Tommy doesn't rescue Kimberly, then we won't even have
               control of ourselves. [turns back] Zedd will.

[A pair of monstrous legs steps into the foreground.]

Voice : Ahoy, matey!

[The voice belongs to a grotesque monster with hollow eye-sockets and
 what appears to be multiple rolls of fat bunched around his neck. His
 hairless head is pale, as are his hands, and he is wearing a rather
 conspicuous grey coat. The Ninjas immediately go into battle stance.]

  Monster : Hahaha!
Red Ninja : I believe it's time we turn up the heat, guys!

[As he speaks, the Red Ninja crosses his wrists and presses his arms
 out to either side. Red energy flows down them into the symbol on the
 front of his robe, and as he brings his hands to his chest a large
 circle of it is dispersed. Further power channels into his hands, and
 he thrusts them forward, a visible burst held between them. The other
 Ninjas simultaneously perform these actions, using equivalent energy
 colours.]

Ninjas : [throughout] We need Ranger Power; now!

[The Morphing Sequence begins.]

 Black Ninja : Black Ranger Power! [morphs into the Black Ranger]
  Blue Ninja : Blue Ranger Power! [morphs into the Blue Ranger]
Yellow Ninja : Yellow Ranger Power! [morphs into the Yellow Ranger]
   Red Ninja : Red Ranger Power! [morphs into the Red Ranger]

[The Rangers are shown somersaulting down through the air in this
 order: Red, Yellow, Black, Blue. Upon landing, they enter battle
 stance and charge at the monster.]

Monster : Watch this!

[He opens his coat like a flasher, producing an odd "boing" sound and
 revealing a red fleshy body covered with eyes of varying sizes. He
 laughs as these eyes fire swirling red energy at the Rangers' heads,
 halting their charge. The monster repeats the process several times,
 laughing at the sight of his opponents clutching their helmets and
 struggling to overcome the mental onslaught.]

   Monster : Well, I -am- a sight for sore eyes! [laughs]
Red Ranger : Ah! Must neutralise thought-wave!

[He suddenly breaks free(Red Ranger : Ahh!) and leaps at the monster,
 taking him by surprise. The Red Ranger grabs him by the collar of his
 coat and turns him away from the other Rangers, then knocks him back
 a few paces. The monster swings at the Red Ranger, who dodges aside
 and lands another strike, temporarily stunning his opponent. He grabs
 the struggling monster's coat, holding it closed.]

Red Ranger : Guys! Visualise pushing the waves -away-!

[The Blue, Yellow, and Black Rangers stop staggering.]

   Red Ranger : You guys okay?
       Others : Yeah!
 Black Ranger : Let's get 'im!
  Blue Ranger : Right!
Yellow Ranger : Come on!

[The three of them charge towards the monster. Cross up to an agitated
 Rita at her telescope.]

   Rita : Hey! The Rangers are winning! Finster! That monster needs
          -glasses-!
Finster : [muttering worriedly] Ohh...oh...ohh dear!
   Rita : I can't wait all day for Zedd! [firmly] I summon the Zords!
Finster : [wretchedly] This is a -really- bad idea!

[Rita growls at him, and then grins as she picks up her Wand and fires
 a bright, red-tinged beam over the edge of the Balcony. As she does
 so, calling out in delight, Finster swings his right hand in a
 gesture of exasperation.]

[Cross back to the park. The Rangers are standing together facing the
 monster, and the usual mid-battle threats are flying.]

Red Ranger : Hey! Your future looks mighty -dim-. Huh!

[The Rangers are just readying another charge when a heavy thumping
 sound is heard nearby, causing the ground to shake.]

   Red Ranger : Aahhh!! Wha?
Yellow Ranger : Huh?

[The thumping sound comes again, throwing the monster off-balance.]

   Monster : [startled] What's happening??? Ohhh! Uh!
Red Ranger : Quakes don't happen in Angel Gro-o-o-ove!

[This last is accompanied by three more pounding steps.]

 Red Ranger : [under his breath] Wow.
Blue Ranger : Whoa.
 Red Ranger : [looking around] Wow, what's going on here? Whoa.

[The monster is the first to notice the new arrivals. As he speaks,
 the Rangers turn around to see what he's looking at.]

   Monster : AHH, what a pretty -sight- to behold! Hahaha! Isn't it
             -lovely-?
Red Ranger : Oh man, it's the Ancient Zords! (US - Aw, man! It's the
             Shogun Zords!)

[The Rangers watch in awe as the five Ancient Zords step closer(Red
 Ranger : Wow.) They are mighty two-legged battle machines, each with
 a colour and spirit animal head to match the Ninja Zords. However,
 there are two notable differences; the Ancient Crane is white instead
 of pink, and there is no Ancient Falcon. Upon their bodies, but most
 prominently on their chests, the Ancient Zords bear individual golden
 shapes.]

[The Ancient Zords come to a halt, resting their arms by their sides.
 Four separate shots follow; the first shows the Ancient Zords from
 behind, the second focuses upon them from the right, and the third
 from the left. The fourth shot shows the Ancient Zords clenching
 their fists, silently awaiting command. From left to right, the
 formation is as follows: Ancient Bear, Ancient Frog, Ancient Ape,
 Ancient Crane, Ancient Wolf.]

Monster : This looks to be a good time to grab a little shut-eye!

[He chuckles and clutches at his coat, transforming into a green dot
 at the center of a white blip and whisking himself away. The Rangers
 don't even notice, engrossed by the Ancient Zords. They take a step
 forward, and the Red Ranger sighs.]

   Red Ranger : I hate to say this, but you know what this means,
                don't you?
Yellow Ranger : [sighs] Yeah. Tommy's failed, and Lord Zedd has sent
                for us.
   Red Ranger : Yeah.

[The Black Ranger approaches and gently caresses the foot of an
 Ancient Zord.]

Black Ranger : They're awesome! I wish we didn't have to use them
               for Evil.
  Red Ranger : [wistfully] I agree, Adam. They're truly awesome.

[Focus again upon the immobile Zords. Just then, a holographic image
 of Rita appears in the sky. As she speaks, the startled Rangers turn
 to face her.]

        Rita : [jeering] Oh, I agree with you, -too-, Rangers. (US -
               Ahaha! I agree too!) They're powered by -your- precious
               Ninjor! And armed with battle technology by YOUR caged
               Falconzord! [cackles]
 Blue Ranger : [worried] We're outta time!
Black Ranger : [worried] Oh no.
        Rita : Now, you will pilot them and destroy your own city! The
               world will hate the Power Rangers forever! Then you'll
               have no choice but to serve Lord Zedd and me! Go on;
               pilot those Zords! Or Kimberly is -toast-!

[Rita swoops her left arm, making a guttural sound.]

  Red Ranger : Ahh! WE'RE GONNA FIND A WAY TO -STOP- YOU, RITA! AH!
Black Ranger : Let's give our Power Coins to Billy! Maybe he can
               transfer the Zords' power to us.
 Blue Ranger : Yeah. I'll try.
  Red Ranger : Let's go!

[The Red Ranger leaps into the air followed by the Blue and Black
 Rangers, and the Yellow Ranger. One by one they arrive in the cockpit
 of their equivalent Ancient Zord, all of which appear identical to
 those of the Ninja Zords.]

[Whilst speaking, each Ranger crosses his or her hands, lowers the
 left to the control panel whilst holding the right out in front, and
 then drops the right as well. The Yellow Ranger makes an exception by
 leaving her left arm bent in the air during the sequence. She pulls
 down on some kind of switch, and a powering up sound is heard.]

   Red Ranger : Ancient Ape Zord; Power Up, now!
                (US - Red Shogun Zord, Power Up!)
 Black Ranger : Ancient Frog Zord; Power Ready, Power Up now!
                (US - Black Shogun Zord, Power Up! All right!)
  Blue Ranger : Ancient Wolf Zord; Power Up, now!
                (US - Blue Shogun Zord, Power Up!)
Yellow Ranger : Ancient Bear Zord; Power Ready, Power Up, -now-!
                (US - Yellow Shogun Zord, Power Up! Al-right!)

[Cross back to the other-dimensional battle. The White Ranger, who had
 been facing away from Lord Zedd, now turns and repels his right fist,
 which had been pressed against his left shoulder. He tries to land a
 blow, and Lord Zedd uses this same arm to block. With a small measure
 of exertion, he flips the White Ranger onto the misty ground.]

   Lord Zedd : Down on your luck, Tommy?
White Ranger : [pulls himself up] Hahh! Ah! Get -real-, Zedd!

[And with these words he draws Saba, holding the sabre poised ready to
 strike. As he does this, there is a quick shot of the unconscious
 Kimberly.]

   Lord Zedd : [amused] Come on, Tommy! You can't be serious with that
               toy sword!
White Ranger : Huh, I don't get more serious than this, Zedd!

[He carefully lines up his aim and sends the enchanted blade soaring
 towards Lord Zedd. Startled, the arch-villain defends with his Staff.
 Saba slams into the sceptre, discharging a few sparks.]

White Ranger : Bullseye! Yes!

[Lord Zedd is now holding a rather large snake in his hands. Its power
 broken, his Staff has resumed the form it originally took during "The
 Mutiny", long ago.]

   Lord Zedd : Ha! Not -quite-.
White Ranger : [clenching fist] It's just like -you-, cold and slimy!
   Lord Zedd : [growls] Why, you Power parasite! You'll PAY for that!

[Lord Zedd vanishes. The White Ranger quickly recovers Saba and goes
 back to Kimberly.]

White Ranger : Come on, Kimberly. Let's get outta here. Oh man, how do
               I free her from this device? [focus in on the controls]
               The control panel! [pleased] Yeah, that oughta do it!

[As he hurries to check the control panel, there is a brief focus
 upon Kimberly.]

White Ranger : Now, which one is it? Hah, might as well try them all!

[He flips one switch and forces down another, then turns his head to
 inspect the results(which have been non-existent).]

White Ranger : Nothing. Nuts!

[He strikes the control panel, causing an explosion. The draining
 device shorts out.]

White Ranger : Did it work? [pause] [clenching fist] YES!!

[He lifts her off the table(White Ranger : Okay, Kimberly.). She
 moans softly, instinctively putting her arms around his right arm
 and neck.]

White Ranger : Come on. It's time to take you home.

[He carries her away, and not long afterwards they reappear out of
 the dimensional portal back in the park. The Portal-Com shuts down.]

White Ranger : [relieved] Ohh, man! We just made it.

[Exhausted, he carefully lowers Kimberly onto the grass.]

White Ranger : It's okay, you're home now. Let me put you down.

[Revived slightly, Kimberly blinks and begins to stir. The White
 Ranger hastily interjects before she can fully awaken, his voice
 coming in short, weary bursts.]

  White Ranger : No. N-n-no. Don't get up. You rest now. You had a
                 hard enough time; and so did I. [to communicator]
                 Zordon, this is Tommy. I made it out with Kimberly.
                 She looks okay. Please teleport her in.
Zordon's voice : [via communicator] Good work, Tommy. We'll teleport
                 her now.

[Kimberly is teleported away. The Portal-Com stations are also taken,
 vanishing in twin streams of white energy. As Zordon continues to
 speak, the focus shifts momentarily to the nearby Bulk, Skull, and
 Lt Stone; all three still dozing. Skull rubs his hair, Bulk rubs
 his eyes, and Lt Stone yawns, but none of them awaken.]

Zordon's voice : [via communicator] Tommy. Zedd has let loose another
                 monster. You and the others -must- stop it. However,
                 I'm not sure if Billy has been able to release the
                 Ancient Zords from Zedd's power. (US - Same.)
  White Ranger : [to communicator] I'll check it out.

[He looks up and gets his first glimpse of the Ancient Zords.]

White Ranger : Ohh, wow.

[Focus on the silent, immobile Zords. Cross to the four occupied
 cockpits, one by one.]

   Red Ranger : Billy! Any progress with the power source?
  Blue Ranger : I'm still working on it.
Yellow Ranger : I wish I knew what happened to Tommy.
 Black Ranger : Zedd better not have harmed him.

[The White Ranger arrives inside the Ancient Crane cockpit(which bears
 a rather suspicious resemblance to that of the Falconzord). He goes
 through the same sequence of arm movements as the others did before.]

White Ranger : Guys, it's Tommy! Everything's fine. Let's Power Up!

[The Ancient Zords are no longer in the park. Instead, the Ancient
 Wolf, Ancient Ape, and Ancient Crane appear to be standing on a cliff
 or mountain, with the Ancient Bear and Ancient Frog below them. All
 five Zords bring their hands together in a firm clap.]

[Up on the Palace Balcony, a dejected Lord Zedd approaches Rita. The
 snake is wrapped around his shoulders; a visible sign of his defeat.]

     Rita : [agitated] We still have the Pink Ranger, don't we?
Lord Zedd : [bitterly] The White Ranger broke my Staff and then made
            off with -Kimberly-.

[Rita takes hold of the snake's head and starts examining it.]

     Rita : -Great-. There goes our trump card.
Lord Zedd : [retrieving snake] Ohh, give me -that-. They haven't
            beaten us yet. I still have control of the Zords!
            They will respond ONLY to my evil commands.

[As he speaks, Lord Zedd brings the snake's head close to his own.]

[Cross now to the cockpit of the Ancient Wolf Zord. The Blue Ranger
 is tinkering around with its inner workings.]

Blue Ranger : I'm almost done, guys. Just a couple more adjustments on
              the quantum-linear controller. All right..stand by. This
              oughta do it...

[The shape on the Ancient Bear's chest(double, overlapping triangles)
 flashes brightly for a moment, and the Zord goes into battle stance.]

Yellow Ranger : [inside] All -right-, Billy, I've got control! Whoo!

[The square on the Ancient Wolf's chest shines, and this Zord also
 goes into battle stance.]

Blue Ranger : [inside, pleased] Yeah! We're online.

[The circle on the Ancient Ape's chest shines. This Zord enters
 battle stance.]

Red Ranger : [inside] Yeah! Good work, man!

[The pentagon on the Ancient Frog's chest shines. Battle stance is
 adopted by this Zord, too.]

Black Ranger : [inside] All right, Billy, I got it! [thumbs up]

[Cross back up to the Palace Balcony, where Rita is looking through
 her telescope. Lord Zedd stands nearby, having discarded the snake
 at some point.]

Lord Zedd : [shocked] What's going on?! The Zords have been released
            from my power source!
     Rita : [simultaneously] AAGHH!!!

[The Ancient Crane's chest symbol(shaped like a flat cone) shines. As
 with the others, this Zord also goes into battle stance.]

White Ranger : [inside] Okay, Zedd! The power source is on the other
               foot. I dare you to produce your monster now!

[Cross back to the Balcony.]

Lord Zedd : [outraged] He DARES me, does he?

[He snatches the Wand from an equally seething Rita.]

Lord Zedd : Here, Tommy, a present from me to you!

[He fires lightning from the Wand, uttering the classic phrase...]

Lord Zedd : Make my monster grow!

[A bolt of lightning descends from the clouds and grows the un-named
 eye monster to gigantic height. He laughs, sounding rather like a
 bluff sailor.]

White Ranger : [in Ancient Crane] All right, let's do it!

[The Ancient Zords prepare for combat. All of a sudden they are out in
 the mountains, wielding weapons. From left to right the Ancient Zords
 stand thus: Ancient Bear(armed with what looks like a series of long
 claws or hooks attached to a chain, although the distance makes them
 hard to identify), Ancient Crane(armed with a pair of double-bladed
 daggers), Ancient Ape(armed with a four-pointed shield bearing an "S"
 symbol), Ancient Wolf(armed with a spear), and Ancient Frog(armed
 with a bow).]

Monster : [merrily] Oh boy! Let me have a gander at ya! [laughs]

[He opens his coat, zapping eye-beams at the Ancient Zords. Some hit
 home, others cause small explosions on the ground nearby, preventing
 the Ancient Zords from advancing, and causing them to reel.]

Monster : The eyes HAVE it!

[The Ancient Crane nods its head quickly.]

Monster : Don't look now!

[He opens his coat and fires pink eye-beams at the Ancient Crane. The
 Ancient Crane leaps into the air to avoid them(whereupon it can be
 seen that the battle has shifted to the city), is shown readying one
 of its daggers, and then springs towards the monster. As it descends,
 there is a quick shot of the White Ranger in the cockpit.]

White Ranger : You're toast!

(Upon landing, the Ancient Crane slashes the monster with its right
 dagger and then strikes with its left, knocking him down.]

   Red Ranger : [in Ancient Ape] Attaboy, Tommy! [raises fist] YEAH!
Yellow Ranger : [in Ancient Bear] Let's -get- 'im! [clenches fist]
 Black Ranger : [in Ancient Frog] Yeah, I'm with you!
  Blue Ranger : [in Ancient Wolf] Ancient Zords, combat ready! (US -
                Shogun Megazord, Power Up!) [touches fists together]

[The screen splits into quarters, featuring the Ancient Ape, Ancient
 Bear, Ancient Wolf, and Ancient Frog entering battle stance. The
 Ancient Bear's chest symbol shines prominently.]

[Underneath the now dark sky, the Ancient Zords are standing in a V
 formation. From left to right they stand thus : Ancient Bear, Ancient
 Crane, Ancient Ape, Ancient Wolf, Ancient Frog(offscreen but presumed
 to be there). As one, the Ancient Zords clap their hands together and
 an image of a mighty robot appears behind them. Its right arm is blue
 and its left is white, matching the colours of the Ancient Wolf and
 Crane Zords which stand in front of those sections. Between them, the
 Ancient Ape stands in front of the red torso, which bears a Japanese
 character. The legs of the robot are not shown.]

[The Ancient Zords are soon off and running in a new formation, from
 left to right as follows: Ancient Ape, Ancient Crane, Ancient Wolf,
 Ancient Bear, Ancient Frog. All of a sudden they are back in their
 original V formation, still running.]

[The Ancient Ape disappears in a burst of red light, reappears on its
 own, and transforms into the previously glimpsed torso. The "S" on
 its belt is now revealed to be part of a working hinge, causing the
 section below it to fold up over the torso. The previously glimpsed
 Japanese character is on the reverse side of this section, and has
 now covered the Ancient Ape's chest circle.]

[The Ancient Crane and the Ancient Wolf vanish in bursts of blue and
 white light. They reappear together, turn back-to-back, and transform
 into arms.]

[The Ancient Bear and the Ancient Frog vanish in bursts of yellow and
 black light. They reappear together, spin around, and transform into
 legs, the Ancient Frog on the left, the Ancient Bear on the right.]

[The components of the Ancient Megazord join together. A new head, in
 the form of a paper crane, descends over that of the Ancient Ape. The
 new face is blue and its eyes are red. Two quick energy flashes shoot
 through the Ancient Megazord, the first blue and vertical, the second
 red and horizontal. A cloud of dust stirs around its feet.]

Monster : I really don't see eye-to-eye here!

[He opens his coat and blasts yet again, this time pink and orange in
 colour. The Ancient Megazord reaches out its left hand to block, and
 sparks fly from the impact. The shaking cockpit is shown, but only in
 glimpses, so a proper description is hard to give. However, enough is
 visible to state that the layout appears quite similar to that of the
 Ninja Megazord.]

[Judging by the brief focus upon each of the following Rangers, their
 cockpit seating can be determined as follows. The Yellow Ranger sits
 up the front on the right, with the Blue Ranger seated behind her.
 The Red Ranger sits up the front in the middle, with the White Ranger
 behind him in what looks the same as the "adjoined Falconzord" area.
 This means that the unseen Black Ranger must be on the left of the
 cockpit, either in the front or the rear seat.]

[All of these observations come from the following interchanges, which
 take place just as the impact dies down.]

 Blue Ranger : Hang on!
  Red Ranger : Yeah!
White Ranger : Billy, let's give 'im one -right- between the eyes.
 Blue Ranger : No problem, Tommy. Watch this! [activates something]

[The Ancient Megazord extends its hands towards the monster and then
 drops them to its sides. Flower petals fly out of the character on
 its chest. They spray onto the monster, producing many sparks and
 causing him to cry out.]

White Ranger : [in cockpit] Heh-heh, that's totally cool!
               [punches air] Yeah!

[A symbol on the Ancient Megazord's right shoulder shines golden. Its
 image is of a small, scaly, sharp-toothed creature, perhaps a dragon
 or sea serpent(albeit a diminutive one). This creature appears in the
 form of a golden hilt, held in the Ancient Megazord's right hand. It
 breathes a thin, steady stream of fire, and the Ancient Megazord
 starts to swing it like a sword. All of a sudden it is held high,
 a solid blade having formed within the inferno.]

[The Ancient Megazord brings its fiery sword down, slashing the still
 un-named monster. As he turns away, mortally wounded, it gives him a
 salute and a nod. The staggering monster collapses face-first and
 explodes. His smoking essence floats into the sky to explode as well,
 in the same way as Lanterror's in "Passing The Lantern".]

[Up on the Balcony, Rita is in tears.]

     Rita : [miserably] Ohh, those Rangers ruin everythinnngg!
Lord Zedd : [tragically] They broke my Staff! They stole my Zords!
            [sobs] This job used to be fun. I want them to PAY for
            making me so miserable!

[Rita pats his shoulder, trying to cheer him up.]

Rita : They already have, in a way. We still have Ninjor trapped in a
       bottle, and sweety-pie Kimberly's Power Coin! Those Rangers are
       weakened!

[Smiling, she presses his shoulder and rubs his brain(Rita : Huh?).
 Lord Zedd chuckles from her attentions, slightly cheered(Rita : Uh).]

[Back in the park, under a still light blue sky, a few families have
 arrived to picnic and fly kites. One kite lands near the sleeping Lt
 Stone, who is now sucking his thumb. He opens his eyes...focuses upon
 the large dragon staring him in the face...closes them again...and
 re-opens them in horror.]

Lt Stone : [howling] YAAHHH!! A MONSTER!!!

[Panic-stricken, he springs to his feet. Bulk and Skull wake up at a
 more leisurely pace, alerted by this sudden noise.]

Lt Stone : [frantically] You guys are right! Run!! [runs off]

[Bulk picks up the kite. He and Skull stand up.]

Skull : [calling after him] Lt Stone! It's only a kite!
 Bulk : [crafty] Ah...can it, Skull. If he thinks it's a monster,
        it's a monster! [chuckles] Who cares, we get to keep our
        badges!
Skull : [grins and then looks puzzled] I did.

[Bulk gives him a confused look. Just then a contingent of children
 arrives to claim the kite. Bulk clears his throat and returns it.]

Girl : [rather snidely] Thank you.

[With that cleared up, Bulk and Skull return to the task at hand by
 putting on an exaggerated show of panic and running away -very-
 slowly.]

Bulk, Skull : Help! Lieutenant! It's a -monster-!

[The kite kids get an obvious kick out of this. The officers put on a
 bit of speed. Skull jumps over a picnicking man and shakes hands with
 his female companion whilst Bulk reaches into their picnic basket.
 They run off after the fleeing Lieutenant, much to the continuing
 amusement of the children.]

[Cross now to a dark, purplish shot of the Command Center, the same as
 from the beginning of the episode(the timing of this day is all over
 the place). Inside, Alpha and all six Rangers(completely unmorphed)
 are present, Tommy standing closest to Kimberly. Kimberly looks and
 sounds much better, to the obvious relief of those around her.]

Kimberly : [sincerely] You guys, I want to thank you -so- much for
           helping me out. Especially you, Tommy. Thanks.
  Zordon : How are you feeling, Kimberly?
Kimberly : Um...I guess I'm still a little tired, but I'm okay.
  Zordon : Zedd and Rita still have possession of your Power Coin, but
           Alpha has been able to remove its connection to you. You
           are no longer in physical danger.

[Alpha nods as Zordon speaks.]

Tommy : [seriously] But we still have to get it back, you guys. We'll
        never be safe as long as it's in their hands.

[He turns to Billy.]

 Billy : Zordon, until we -can- get Kimberly's Power Coin back, is she
         gonna be able to draw power from the rest of us, and still be
         the Pink Ranger?
Zordon : Yes. However, you cannot do that over a long period of time.
         Eventually, all of your powers will be drained. She -must- be
         reunited with her own Coin.

[Alpha nods again. Tommy puts his arm around Kimberly's shoulders. A
 troubled Adam looks in her direction for a moment before turning back
 to Zordon.]

  Adam : What about our old Zords?
Zordon : As long as Lord Zedd holds the Falconzord captive, your -old-
         Zords will be inoperable.
 Tommy : [troubled] And Ninjor; we've gotta get him back somehow.
  Adam : We will. And we'll bring Lord Zedd down for good when we do.
 Rocky : Well, at least we gained control of our new Zords.
 Aisha : [taps him lightly] Yeah, and they're -awesome-. [beams]
Zordon : These Ancient Zords shall be known as: the Shogun Zords.
         They are -very- powerful, and I'm certain they will serve
         you well, Rangers. (US - These powerful Zords are known as...
         the Shogun Zords! Kimberly, you and Tommy will share a Zord,
         and I am certain they will serve you well, Rangers.)
 Billy : [relieved] And as long as we have the Shogun Zords, the Power
         Rangers are back in business.
 Tommy : All right.

[Billy, Aisha, Tommy, Rocky, and Adam hold their fists together. After
 a brief hesitation, Kimberly adds hers, and they all share a laugh.]

Kimberly : Yeah.

[Later, Tommy and Kimberly are walking by the lake around sunset. In
 the Command Center, Kimberly was able to conceal the true nature of
 her feelings, but now her fear is palpable.]

Kimberly : Well, I guess this is the end of the Pink Ranger, huh?
   Tommy : [kindly] We can still share our powers with you.
Kimberly : Yeah, for a while, but when that's over...

[She holds his arm and stops walking. The last of her facade drops.]

Kimberly : Tommy; I'm really scared.

[Tommy takes her hands, speaking earnestly.]

   Tommy : Remember what you told me when I lost my powers?
Kimberly : Yeah, I said that you'd be okay...and that you would always
           have us all.
   Tommy : Yeah, and you'll have -me-. Kim, I'll always be here for
           you. [kisses her]
Kimberly : [softly] Thanks.

[Behind them, the setting sun sparkles on the peaceful lake.]
