"My philosophy is to keep music musical"
Nick Marciano in an interview with 'Top Hitz & Piecez' magazine (1987)
1985 not only saw two abysmal Street Walker films but also an attempt by Marciano to launch a musical career- an attempt which was entirely unsuccessful in America and almost every other country- except, that is, for Germany, where Marciano has always enjoyed something of a cult following. There his debut single, " Walking Into The Streets Of Love" made number 28 in the charts, a track written by Marciano and the Di Franco brothers, and the excellent track " We All Love Uncle Tony" reached number one, where it remained for five weeks. Egged on by the success of the single and several subsequent releases, Marciano released an album of 9 tracks, which flopped spectacularly, even in Germany. Nowadays, however, the album, entitled " Ears To The Ground", is rare and highly sought after. Below is a full track listing for the album.
