Karate
One of my loves is Karate and the martial arts. I hold the
rank of Nidan, which is second degree black belt. The style of Karate I teach is freestyle
incorporating many styles of karate and techniques from other martial arts, although my
rank is in the style of Shorin Ryu. I am very fearful of the 'fast buck' approach to the
martial arts which now exists all over the world and would like to see more of the spirit
of the arts taught rather than just the attacks and defense.
The club I run is small and is constantly changing, due to the
nature of international schools.
