Sheila was introduced into Y&R as a
shy woman, applying for the lab assistant position Dr Scott
Grainger advertised. Sheila and Scott had instant chemistry,
which upset his wife, Lauren Fenmore. At the time of Sheila's
arrival, Scott and Lauren were having marital problems, Scott
tried to keep his personal life away from his new assistant, but
Sheila soon gained Scott's trust and soon learned of her
employers problems. Sheila became Scott's confidant, until one
day she realised that she had deep feelings for him. Sheila set
her mind on winning the man of her dreams, but one thing stood in
her way, his wife, Lauren! Sheila pulled every trick in the book
to lure the unsuspecting doctor into her bed, but Scott was
determined to reunite with Lauren. Sheila was devastated! The
first major twist came when Lauren learned she was pregnant with
Scott's child. Sheila panicked, she was going to lose Scott.
Tragedy struck when Lauren miscarried the child, devastating both
Scott and Lauren. Lauren and Scott quickly reunited, but the
chemistry died thanks to Sheila's interference. Lauren and her ex-husband,
Paul, became very close, and Scott confused a friendly kiss
between Lauren and Paul for a kiss of passion. He ran to Sheila
for a shoulder to cry on, during which Sheila offered him a drink,
little did Scott know she'd drugged the drink with a substance to
quickly exhaust the drinker! Scott soon weakened and gave into
Sheila's sexual advances. From this one night stand, Sheila
became pregnant with Scott's child, amazingly, Lauren discovered
at the same time that she, too, were pregnant with Scott's child!
Sheila knew that with Scott and Lauren no longer together, she
had the best chance of winning him! Sheila discovered Lauren's
pregnancy and panicked again, this time she would surely lose
Scott! Lauren kept her pregnancy from Scott, with sat well with
the now satisfied Sheila. Sheila's mum, Molly, came to town to
meet Scott, and discovered her daughter's pregnancy, she was
overjoyed. Lauren arranged to tell Scott about her pregnancy when
Sheila interrupted and announced their recent engagement, Lauren
was shocked and left. Sheila sat alone at the apartment and
promised herself never to let Lauren interfere with their lives,
this was the first sign of her "insanity"! Lauren and
Paul became even closer, which pushed Scott in Sheila's direction.
Lauren began wanting Scott back and once again raced over to tell
of her pregnancy, little did she know she was to walk straight
into the middle of a wedding ceremony, Scott and Sheila's! A
teary Lauren fled the scene, devastated. After months of fighting
for Scott's affection, both women finally gave birth, or so
everyone thought. During a suspense filled finale to the long-time
storyline, it was revealed that Sheila had actually miscarried
and during scenes which shocked the world, fans saw Sheila sneak
into the hospital and steal Lauren's baby! Sheila then met with a
corrupt Lawyer, and paid him to have a baby to relace the one she
stole! Lauren visited her "son" in hospital, but had no
clue as to what had happened! Scott and Sheila were happy with
their son, who they named Scotty. Lauren named her son Dylan.
Scott took Scotty over to visit Lauren, when Sheila exploded,
accusing him of still having feelings for Lauren, Scott denied
everything. Sheila's trouble's seemed to be over until her mother
came back to Genoa-City with a shocking secret! She knew what
Sheila had done! Sheila tried to stop her mother from telling
Lauren, but Scotty began crying and Molly slipped out of the room
and raced over to Fenmore's! On the way there, Molly had a severe
stroke, breaking her speech and movement to a mere minimum.
Sheila's secret was safe once more. Sheila institutionalised her
mother, and tried to keep Lauren away from her scared mum. During
this time, Dylan became terminally ill and was rushed to hospital.
Lauren demanded only Scott treat her son, Scott did his best to
save the dying child, but tragedy struck, and Lauren's son died.
At the same time of the death, Scott received word that Dylan
wasn't really his, he kept this from Lauren. Lauren isolated
herself from everyone for months after Dylan's tragic death, Paul
and Scott tried to help her through her grief, nothing worked!
Scotty bought baby Scotty to see Lauren, without Sheila’s
knowledge, Lauren’s day was brightened! Meanwhile, Sheila
was doing her best to get her mother moved from the hospital in
case Lauren found Molly! A nurse asked Sheila if she would like
the sign for speech classes for her mother, Sheila refused and
demanded that her mother get no speech therapy! Molly tried to
get a nurse to call Lauren, but she couldn’t speak....
Lauren found Molly and went to visit - Molly was asleep and was
not able to talk to the fiery red-head! Lauren talked to Paul
about Molly’s condition and he assured her Molly was in the
best of care. Sheila found out about Lauren’s visit and
yelled at the nurse and demanded Lauren not be allowed access
into Molly’s room! Lauren turned up on day and was refused
entry! She was furious - so she raced to Scott’s and
demanded she se Molly! Scott agreed and arranged a visit! Sheila
was visiting her mother when a nurse informed her of Lauren’s
second visit and how she had upset Molly! What was she doing here?,
Sheila screamed, your husband allowed the visit! SCOTT! Sheila
made arrangements for Molly to move home back to Grand Rapids.
Finalising the plans, Sheila left to confront Scott. Scott
demanded Sheila calm down but she screamed at him for allowing
Lauren in, Why are you scared? Scott asked.... Sheila panicked
and went to attend her son. Scott stormed out and went to see
Lauren, who seduced him. Scott and Lauren made love! Molly was
moved the her farm house in Grand Rapids, Michigan, not even
Scott knew! As Molly was being moved, she placed a photo of a
baby of the chair beside her bed, in the hopes Lauren would find
it! While back home, Molly tried to speak, but was unable to, so
one of her caretaker, Doris, decided to give Molly speech therapy
lessons in hope to surprise Sheila with her mother quick recovery!
Lauren went to visit Molly but she was gone. Lauren blasted the
nurse for details, but no-one knew anything! Lauren saw the photo
on the chair and snatched it up, determined that Molly had left
it as a clue! Lauren asked for Paul’s help, but they could
not identify the baby. Lauren asked Scott about Molly and he told
her Sheila had moved her back to Grand Rapids, Lauren went for a
visit! She snuck into Scott’s room and stole his diary in
order to get Molly’s address, she returned the diary before
it was noticed missing!
