Philadelphia Parking Authority
Philadelphia PA
The Philadelphia Parking Authority enforce parking regulations on the streets of Philadelphia by issuing and processing parking tickets, booting vehicles with excessive unpaid tickets, the towing of vehicles that interfere with traffic flow, and the running of the city's impound lots. The agency tows illegally parked vehicles and those that are impounded by the Philadelphia Police through the Live Stop program. In July 2004, the Philadelphia Parking Authority took over the regulation and enforcement of taxi cabs and limousines operating in Philadelphia. The Parking Authority also enforces and manages the city's red light camera operations. The agency provides parking services by means of its parking lots and garages throughout the city as well as operating the parking facilities at the Philadelphia International Airport.
